Okay. I see how you are. I dont have a fricken
dial tone at my house. for anyone who's anyone
that means I dont have online access. So I
go over to my dad's house to check my email
and read THE and right in the middle of caseykasems
count down (right in the middle of a post from me)
they lock THE! So I stay there until I see the
THE safely in it's own spot. Later, here I am at the
local library, to check my email and have a
looksee at the dale (checking your email is a very
important pastime when you are having an internet
relationship as I am!) And everything is all messed
up again. What gives? I mean I know it sucks for me
personally, but what will Lifted Up do with all his free
time? We cant have him running up useless THE
threads now can we? And the phone people (US West
is now Quest) cant come fix my phone problem until
5pm tomorrow night?

If you've visited the Archive of THE (THEhospice) where THE was put for safe keeping, you'll see that THE is just an error message right now. All 4083 messages rolled up into an error message!
Vanchau, THE founder and chief technology officer of EZBoard (not a mere ezboard person, but THE TOP DOG!) came along and personally closed the THE thread as (according to him) it was slowing down the EZserver - thus negatively impacting this ezboard and others.
I've done some checking around and it seems that Vanchau has closed some other large threads tonight.
I know this may burst some bubbles, but it seems that some threads may have been bigger than THE ![](ALT=":eek") !!! One thread may have been over 12000 replies long!!!! (That's kinda like finding out there is life in other solar systems. Maybe THE is only a minor deity after all??? Without THE's priests here to teach us and fight for THE's continued existence, we may never know...)
THE wanted to return as "THE Two", but WayDalers don't seem happy with a re-incarnated THE and so WayDale may be nearing THE end of an era. Sad, but true.
I will try to convince Vanchau to restore THE to health and to allow THE to live. But won't that make Vanchau THE's god? Hmmm...
Meanwhile, we have THE Two.

Ex, I fully understand your position, I have been in similar situations before and have had to resort to random acts of silliness in order to get my point across.
I certainly hope the high priest of ezboard, Fumanchu finds it in his/her/its heart to resore our beloved THE thread before I have to resort to such behavior, after all it is undignified for a tomato to act silly...
However if the powers that be (or might not be for that matter) resist I shall rise to the occasion.

When I was putting together THE statistics I downloaded a bunch of the thread....in html format. I definitely have the first 2000 posts and I will check on my other computer tomorrow to see if I have more.
I will put as much as possible up on a separate website.
extwi --- would he at least let us download it? I would be happy to set the html up and have them for posterity. I know that I have at least half of them maybe more.
