WeAreSorry..... to inform participants in THE THE thread that WeAreThe has had his/her communal wings clipped. While it is a fun concept (a shared identity that anyone can use), it does present a significant opportunity for "undesirables" (possibly those we've already banned from here) to re-enter WayDale and post without accountability. I mean who do I go after in the event of some *naughty* posts?
WeAreThe was even out for a spin on at least one other thread last night and I can see where this could develop... Hmmmm.
It is with great regret that I have therefore clipped WeAreThe's wings - never to fly again.

It's too bad you have to be concerned about that kind of stuff and that there are evil men who would jump on the chance to abuse it.
Sadder still is that these abusers think they are men of God and even doing God a favor doing these things.
But then again, the whole purpose of THE, (other than milestones and longevity) is to bring these things to light in a humorous (jugular) vein.
Then readywriter I think said EVEN's password had also been posted and he was going to retire EVEN for the same reason right after that.
Too bad, they were the source for many good laffs. I wanted to use WEareTHE for a few little mindgames but wasn't able to get in.
Too late did I find out I needed to log out to log in. Oh well, the joys of being the Compleat computer idiot.

Well...maybe the guess the gender contest has fizzled before it began...undoubtedly due to THE fact that most of THE followers know mine anyway. However...still haven't seen on here THE one who needs to be educated...THE one who sent me the errant e-mail which triggered my record 101 consecutive post barrage. I suspect He/She is laying low for a while, since I haven't seen one of his/her posts for a little while. Maybe we should have a contest to guess his/her identity. The only problem is that in all fairness...I must consider the slight but real possibility that an imposter may have sent that, perhaps trying to confuse ME as to my own gender, heh heh. Well if there is to be a contest, I have already given the first very subtle hint, so I should let it rest for a bit. especially with THE7K approaching, and i think I got it wrong earlier by mentioning it as THE8K.
Oh great prophet and also THE5K high priest, we understand your empty hearts at seeing the demise of WeAreThe...perhaps the idea of a collective diety just didn't wash.
And...that is quite some praise I got from THE great Pam, who of course obviously is one of those correctly aware of my gender, heh heh.

Yes, I will indeed miss WEareTHE, but everytime I read their posts, their voice came across as that of the BOR ....er, Borg Collective. My head wanted to explode and be assimilated.
If we really want to have a collective diety, all we need to do is start promoting that we all are God. I am God, you are God, she is God, and of course, Loy has already beaten us to that exalted position and can show us THE Way.
