Wow, that is totally cool about your great-grandmother. Your note about how she smelled too bad for anyone to get close enough with a cannon is very Neanderthal. It has kept us out of Cro magnon wars for many generations.
All Norse Neanderthals are familiar with Olaf the Blue!!! Whether you knew it or not he was Neanderthal .
How he was encased in ice for three generations because of a glacier that snuck up on him while he was butchering a woolly mammoth he had just killed. After being found and getting chipped out of the ice, he recovered, and became a celebrity.
Of course part of the reason for his being a celebrity was the woolly mammoth that was found next to him. That fed the locals for the next five months. It seems if I remember the legends right, he did marry a French girl, I'm not sure if she was Neander.

Ahhh, ...but old fashioned, dragging by hair, little furry road kill, and carved bone trinkets are so unusual these days. It brings back many sweet memories.
My cave on the mountain of Odd is a rental property. It is a little small but has lots of storage space for all the usual Neanderthal refuse; bone piles, garbage, and relics. But I also brought my TV and VCR.
( You wouldn't believe how many extension cords I had to string together to get all the way up here. Sorry, the cable guys wouldn't come up this far . )
You have your own Yak and saddle? Yaks had not yet evolved when I got my first drovers license. At that time we used Giant Sloths. They were very slow and a Yak could run circles around them. Plus, they always wanted to travel from tree to tree, and since they hung from their toes, you had a tendency to fall off the saddle.
Mama always said that is how we got the odd flat shape to our heads, plus that sort of bent over posture.
You have your own Yak, that is very upbeat and upscale. Yaks are one of the few animals with enough aroma of their own that they don't faint at the approach of a Neandersthal. And I agree, a Yak would look terrible in purple.
I am glad you are feeling better now. I'm not sure if I wrote it from a true heart, as I don't think Neanderthal males have evolved that far yet. Certainly, looking at Cro Magnon males would tend to disprove it has happened yet.
At least I haven't lied to you yet. Although that depends on what "is" means. Does "is" really mean what you think it does, and who defines the term.

Why, I even received recently a furtive e-mail from one of them recently asking me to join them for some sort of secretive planning session.
It was so secret, they didn't even tell me where to go.
Hmmmmm.....
Though I have a feeling they will think of a place or two pretty soon.

It is the belief of DaPropheta that Pawtucket is dead. Or at least has Passed On to another Plane/or Plain. I have been reluctant to say this but no longer can I in good concience put it off.

DaPropheta expected more of a response than this from my startling prior post. Not even the regular THE posters showed up.
Dabobbada needs a little shocked and agast reactions from folks or he will pick up his baseball and bat and go home.

So someone e-mailed me and said they thought they saw Paw climbing the east side of THE Mount of Odd a few days ago, wearing a sheet and dragging some stone tablets with him.
But they aren't sure, and have no other proof of the incident.

Finally after days of driving and walking and waiting in line........THE and They that were dropped from active priesthood have met.
The meeting which has now gone into its 47th hour is said to be going well. The press secretary for THE has released the following statement to the press anxiously awaiting outside the Restaurant.
"The meeting of the The high priest and priestess of THE is going well. Rumors of the death of Pawtucket are highly exaggerated. Pawtucket accidently got zapped by a stray lightning bolt from THE which was a result of being served some tepid coffee during one of the 15 dessert rounds they have had since the beginning of the meeting. THE almost immediately breathed life into him.
Pamsandiego is vigourously taking notes and has about 300 pages of info that will be disbursed in the near future. (About 50 pages included the recipes of everything on the menu at the restaurant.)
THE is on the verge of doing the unprecedented and reinstating these two into the Priesthood of THE. If that does not happen, they may be put on the BOT (Board of THE).
Pawtucket is being adamant, as he does not wish to be referred to as Donald or Howard. pamsandiego has made no comment, but the increased number of visits to the bushes sends a message of it's own.
THE also wishes it to be known that he will not be sending a SON of THE to redeem the peepless people. Although he is considering sending a second cousin once removed.
As soon as THE summit is over, a statement will be released. Expect some messages of prophet from the Dabobabadaobadoo at some point too. "
