Love Potion No. 9   The Coasters  (The Ventures, others)

What's the matter with the car I'm driving
Can't you tell that it's out of style?
Should I get a set of white wall tires
Are you gonna cruise the miracle mile?

No I think he got it.  Evenings is nights and you're hint "Azures" is white and Ecru Corduro is clearly Satin.

Actually, ecru is off-white.  Azure is blue.  The "Sullen Azures" would be the Moody Blues.

Whatever.  WW is up.

Oh that's right.  Got my colours confused.  I was thinking about my other cat Bianca which is white in Italian.  Azzuro is my blue kitty.  Perhaps we did need an interpreter after all.

"So now you'd better stop, and rebuild all your ruins.
For peace and trust can win the day, in spite of all your losing."

"How soft your fields so green. Can whisper tales of gore.
Of how we calmed the tides of war. We are your overlords."

"Hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new land.
To fight the hordes and sing, and cry.
'Valhalla, I am coming!'"

I've always been a fan of the The Viking's cheerleaders because I think they're the best and bravest.  You got to be brave to wear short skirts in those temperatures..   :biglaugh:     I was going to say it sounds like it could be a Led Zeppelin song.

You were going to say it, or you're saying it?

(What are you, new in this country?)  :)

Brain finally kicked in an answer.  Is this "I'm Just Sitting Here Watching the Wheels Go Round and Round", and, if so, is this a Beatles song?

Answer is correct.  It's just Watching The Wheels by John Lennon.  So technically no, not a Beatles song, but yes still the same.
