That TWI is the true body of Christ and loy-boy is the man of God to the world
VPW NEVER said that TWI was the body of Christ. He definitely said we were in it, but lcm screamed we were it and everything else was a false ministry with false apostles, false prophets and false ministers. Yet to my knowledge he never produced any definitive scripture to prove it. On the other hand scriptures like I Corinthians 12:12,13 and Colossians 3:15 show that all Christians are in the body of Christ. Sure many Christians do not function much at all but that does not exclude them from the body. The distinction between the family and the household cover that.
lcm took it one step further to allow way II people to call him the man of god to the world. For those who are still full-time employees of TWI, this must be a very uncomfortable position to be in. They are in the position that one person is in control of their spiritual lives, their livelihood, their health insurance and because of the unprecedented invasiveness of LCM's policies of control, their families. And that person is out of control.
The only man of god to the whole world was Jesus Christ. The New Testament clearly shows us that there were to be cultural divisions in the hierarchy of Church leadership (Galatians 2:7-9) and that ministers were not to intrude upon other ministers' jurisdictions (II Corinthians 10:15,16). VPW had that right when he set up the international ministries so that each was supposed to be autonomous, keeping their finances within each country and finding people with genuine ministries to watch over each country. lcm screwed that up. Look at Zaire for instance and those in the know will realize how he meddled so much with it that it fizzled. The Word also covers the subject of when the one who was called has screwed up. Consider David and Saul. Besides that, remember when lcm was first given the job it was said that no one person could take over after VPW. Well lcm mismanaged things so bad that all his top, talent split, and we all have paid the price for his bitterness over it.
Then lcm took this further and declared that everyone who was cast out of TWI would not get their prayers answered. He screamed that "God would not even spit in their direction". Well my Bible still has whosoevers in it. If any of you still have one of those mountaintop checkbooks, go get it and look at it. All those promises are still true because you are still a whosoever. Besides that, the gifts and callings of God are without repentance. No one can take that away from anyone else. When it is time for us to receive our rewards at the bema, we will not be standing in front of lcm, it will be Jesus Christ and our rewards will not be earned by whether or not we abided by LCM's ravings, but by the rightly divided Word.
As an interesting sidelight, it is rather amusing to note LCM's preoccupation with some of the splinter ministries that have sprung up that are made up of the people that he cast out. If God won't even spit in their direction, why is lcm so worried about them? I think it is the same reaction that any good Pharisee would have in the same circumstance: envy. Those ministries are obviously growing. The best way to really see what is going on is to look beyond all the things that are being said by all the parties and just consider their fruit. Then the answer will be obvious, who is closer to the truth.
