The Way International responds to J. P. Wierwille |

In an unprecedented move by Way trustees, an email was sent to
GreaseSpot Cafe by Harve Platig (Vice President of The Way
International). Mr. Platig requested that we post an open letter
to J. P. Wierwille which “sets the record straight” concerning the
on-going care of Mrs. V. P. Wierwille (wife of the Way's founding
president).
The Way trustees have released for publication on GreaseSpotCafe.com a
copy of a letter that was sent to J. P. Wierwille on Oct. 15, 2003 in
which Harve Platig refutes assertions made by J. P. Wierwille on his
new website.
Additionally, in the email sent to GreaseSpot Cafe, Harve Platig
characterizes GreaseSpot Cafe's article on the matter of Mrs.
Wierwille's care as being "replete with falsehoods”. According to
Platig, the “most egregious inaccuracy is that [as quoted in our
article] ‘Way trustees (directors) have taken Mrs. Victor Paul
Wierwille from her family home . . . and have placed her in a nursing
home in St. Marys, Ohio.’ ” While it is true that Mrs. Wierwille has
been moved, Harve Platig contends that the placing of Mrs. Wierwille in
a nursing home was a family decision. His open letter to J. P.
Wierwille responds to that issue in detail.
