Get out of Debt

This letter is Martindale's opening shot in the war against the Way Corps that will last until 1997 when he presents the "Way Corps II" - the second generation - Corps who are supposedly totally loyal to him. The letter tells the Way Corps to get out of debt or get out of the Corps. The letter accuses many Way Corps of being "unproductive". This is the beginnings of the current "Debt Policy" that The Way now adopts where normal Way followers may not have debt - mortgages, student loans etc. are all banned. This letter was written in May 1994.

Letter from Martindale to the Way Corps announcing a witch hunt for any homosexuals within the ranks. This letter features very explicit descriptions of homosexual sex acts and bestiality. Martindale sets the stage for an inquisition-like purge within The Way where a mere "genuine spiritual suspicion" is enough to bring someone in for interrogation. This purge led to hundreds being thrown out of The Way. This letter was written in July 1994.

Dumping of the Spouse Corps

Letter to the Way Corps in which Martindale tells all Way Corps who were married to non-Corps that they could no longer be considered Way Corps. This decision alone led to the dropping of about 400 Way Corps. This letter was sent out in July of 1994.

Bribery Letter

LCM wrote a letter to the Way Corps on bribery. This letter eventually led to the "No Gift Policy" for all Way Corps. He had no option but to include himself in this mandate and so had the two pages removed from the WAP class coordinators guide (see above document). This letter warns of the dangers of accepting gifts from Way followers as those gifts might in fact be bribes of some sort. This letter written in March 1997.

A 1983 letter from V.P. Wierwille stating that it is possible for the Christian believer to have fellowship with and "talk" to Jesus.

This letter clearly demonstrates one of the many differences in what Martindale (current Way president) teaches and what the founding president V.P. Wierwille taught.

Martindale teaches that those who "talk to Jesus" are like an ass in heat and are opening themselves up to spirits of whoredoms.
