Martindale on Stage
God always multiplies the impact of a decision
if it's right. The Corps are not moving mainly because of finances. But because
of that, the right decision, the impact to our lives will be way beyond. Rev.
Martindale feels like the adversary is trying to push us back over the bridge
that we have crossed. If we feel it, dig in and stop the momentum. The
exhortation was to move forward in the manifestations--all four manifestations.
We're not in this situation financially because of bad decisions. The only
reason we have the ministry we have today is because the Corps went full-time.
One key decision of why we're in the promised land is because God told Rev.
Martindale to put the Corps full-time. That's the key reason why our country is
still standing. Expect this to be the power base of our ministry. The only way
to do the ministry is with twenty-four hour vigilance, diligence and oversight.
1 Th 2:18 Wherefore we
would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
Rom 1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I
purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit
among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
Paul said Satan had hindered him. We can be as well. Example of the man George
Mueller fired because of his unbelief and doubt--like Gahazie.
We will be bringing in over twenty Advanced Class grads. If we have to tell The
Way Corps to go and get a job, then that's the way we'll go. The day might come
that we'll have to cut back more. We have to keep ourselves fluid. How intently
do I want to be a full-time minister for God? (Matt 19)
Rev. Martindale will not tolerate the suggestion that the Board of Trustees is
hoarding things and that we are in deeper straits than they are saying. We
can't let the spirits get back in through financial attacks and
insinuations--murmuring, backbiting--how the spirit realm works. I Thess. says
to esteem them highly in love for their works' sake (like the Board of
Trustees). God holds us accountable to detect it and confront it. Rev. Martindale
has no obligation to give an explanation for how he spends the money. Whenever
devil spirits are involved--logic goes out the window.
Mat 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all,
and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
Mat 19:28 And Jesus said
unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the
regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also
shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Mat 19:29 And every one
that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or
wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold,
and shall inherit everlasting life.
Mat 19:30 But many that
are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have
followed thee.
Mark 10:29 And Jesus
answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house,
or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands,
for my sake, and the gospel's,
Mark 10:30 But he shall
receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and
mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come
eternal life.
Vs 28 says Lo, we have left all... lo is bold--he's saying "pay attention,
Lord." In Lifestyle of a Believer, it says sacrifices made for the right
reasons always pay back one-hundred-fold.
Luke 18:28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
Luke 18:29 And he said
unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or
parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
Luke 18:30 Who shall not
receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life
everlasting.
Receive in vs 30 is apolambano--receive into manifestation spiritually, and in
the abundance of the Word, as well as physically; the quality of life that you
live because you stand and have stood against the devil spirit realm. You've
got to be a spiritual man or spiritual woman to be Way Corps, to be a disciple.
The financial argument will get to your ego if you're not a spiritual person.
As Way Corps, you've got to stay spiritual. If you go natural, you'll go blunt,
be intimidated, and lose your salt. Only you can determine your motives. The
adversary finds out how you respond in situations.
Corps going out on 1st time assignments will be getting a part time job. We're
on good ground with FICA, but we're not gaining any ground. The adversary can
push us back over the bridge if we're not strong enough. Stop the backward
motion, dig in, then move forward one step at a time. Way Corps quitting
because of the "no pet" policy are regurgitating to the heart of God.
("A Day in the Life of Evan Golishevitch" Alexander Solzeneichen)
Be thankful for what God's kept us out of. You can only move as people are
willing to move. You can't brow-beat people, especially in the financial
category. But we're not even close to the 1st century church. (There's no
significant increase in the ABS.) But we do have the greatest percentage for
tithing. We're discussing ways of other cuts.
Life is a hassle. Life is hassles that you turn into lemonade. Moving is not
wasting your time. That is the ministry--look for instances
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
You're not wasting your time looking for less expensive medical and dental.
Pass on your learning to your people. A Corps couple just had a baby for $900.
Paid in full. Dr. taught the rewards given will be even be for just turning out
lights. That's a discipline to think of all those things. God has
foreknowledge, He sees all this stuff coming. Plan in a cautious way. Control
your spending. Can't control your income; you can't guarantee your income.
(Matt 6) Take care of the challenges of the future.
Rev. Martindale reads assignments of graduating Corps and staffing The Advanced
Class.
CA leadership will have to handle more. We can't afford to send people to CA.
Corps graduation for the 1st time will be where they are serving now. That's
seven or eight locations. We're not bringing everyone in to HQ. Rev. Martindale
will do a video and will pray, prophecy for each individual graduate. The # 1
reason is the money why we are doing it this way. God will meet the need. We'll
graduate the Brown family here; maybe in the dining room. We've had ordinations
here. It simplifies life for everyone.
We've gotten good responses to the Way Disciple program.
Rev. Martindale reads Corps grad assignments (any changes).
Items review:
- Symperasma Summaries - putting all the STS reviews
for the entire year on an audiotape.
- Decided to go with the single Corps grad woman
policy. Details will be in writing out to the Corps.
- Financial category - where will we bank? Rev.
Martindale read some of Louie Lind's memo.
the Corps will not go the
Advanced Class Special. It's too expensive. It also doesn't look promising for
doing ordinations. Maybe have them done locally. Rev. Martindale can't get to
all these places. Like WIB, will invite the ones in that they need to help.
Rom 1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I
purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit
among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
1 Th 2:18 Wherefore we
would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
The priority is the Corps being full-time. 87% of Advanced Class grads are in
these new Advanced Class classes. Next year, no Advanced Class for grads. Can't
take it, cannot handle the pressure. Rev. Martindale is working on a study plan
of reviewing the A/C syllabus in one year.
The new theme--Sounding Out With the Word of the Lord. FNC class requirements:
in an area of 15 to 30 -- 3 new students. In larger Branches: 5 new students.
Financially, we need to win more people. The need is there. We need the
resources that they bring to the ministry. We'll be running concurrent
classes--we'll all be focused on the same thing.
FNC: October, March, and July. I/C: September and January. DTA: May 1999. All
classes will start and finish within the month they are running. No exceptions.
No A/C for grads next year. There will be two new A/C classes at Gunnison for new students.
Rev. Martindale then gave end-of-year dates.
The 24 occurrences of Timothy still have great learning in them. Next fall will
pick up in
I Timothy 3.
