I am SO glad that I found this web-site!! I was trying to find a web-site for The Way so that I could check out the possibility of "getting back in fellowship" with them. I am a 1992 Advanced Class graduate who began my association with TWI Sept. 9,1989. On Sept. 9,1994, the Limb Co-ordinator for the state of Oregon, Ed Oeding, told me to "go find a church" by way of kicking me out of The Way. I found it quite interesting that I was given the boot exactly 5 years after my first twig attendance...and not just 5 years to the day, but to the very HOUR!! So, being ignorant of what h s been going on with TWI for almost 5 years, I thought I'd check into it to see if God might want me to become re-associated with them on Sept.9,1999 at 9:00 AM. I had realised after leaving the ministry that it had turned into another "prosperity religion" twisting John 10:10 from "..(Life)more abundantly" into..."The More Than Abundant Life" and that they were seriously lacking in Godly love, but I had no idea of a lot of the things I saw mentioned in the files of this and other web-sites. I do remember he ring L. Craig mention the personal loyalty oath that the Corps grads had to swear to, but really, I was looking forward to the time when I could join the Corps. I thought I'd found God's TRUTH... FINALLY...and I wanted to learn as much of it as I could. G d works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform! What I thought 5 years ago was a very tumultuous event(my being booted from the Way) so mind boggling that I eventually dove back into active alcoholism, has actually proved to be God's timing working in my life for my continued spiritual growth. I am now recovering from my battle with the bottle with the fellowship of A.A. and I'm finding A.A. to operate more like the 1st century church than the church does.( MAN OH MAN, would L.Craig choke on THAT one if he heard it!!) Now that I've found this and the other ex-Way web-sites, perhaps I can find some fellowship on a more firm spiritual foundation than the 'iffy' Higher Power of A.A. If anyone would like to correspond with a mixed up but still seeking God ex-leaf, I would sure be blessed to communicate with a Bible believing Christian or three. Agapeo; Bill :-)

Hi all... just stumbled in after trying to post to TranceChat and learning that it doesn't appear to be working anymore. I'm an ex-Military WOW who served in the U.S. Army over in Germany from 1977 to 1981. I've been looking for others that may have bee over there during that time and hoping to reestablish friendships that were forged way back then. Although I have been out of TWI since then, hardly a day goes by where I don't recall some event or personality from that time. Write me if you like... L fe is good.

I was one of the Bloomsburg girls back in 1975 . PFAL tore into town during the summer between freshman and sophmore year. I came back to see my former roommate who had unfortunately stayed in Bloomsburg for the summer. It was at that time I noticed a tremendous difference in her. The normally carefr e, lighthearted young lady had turned painfully serious....about everything!!! I loved her so much that I agreed to take a pfal class to appease her. I remember partying moments before we committed to the many hours for that evening. I knew in my heart that I had no desire to get heavily involved with anything that made you do t e things she was now doing. But, was there something wrong with me for not seeing a need like she did? Before I knew it all of my closesf friends were taking the class and I was losing my support system. I tried to go along with it but I never liked the idea of living in a boring way home and eating ridiculously healthy foods. I was still young and wanted to experience everything about my life the way I chose to. I suppose that being stubborn has some a vantages in life. Well, things got stranger and stranger. I wasn't sure if I was going to maintain my very dear relationships with friends i treasured. I was starting to get the idea that I wasn't going to be welcomed into the group. But , to tell you the truth.....ther was absolutely nothing fun about anything that they were doing. My brother also got involved with the ministry at the same time. He did his fair share of undersheparding me but, the stubborn gal just wasn't buying it. I guess I'm one of the few who are out there who really got a good look at the Way from the inside but II never let go of my mind. I just think that I was always looking for something more. My ideas about God did not concern me, I had no hang ups that I could think of ....why in the world would I want to go along with this group? Anyway, the best friend goes Corp......my brother goes corp....my other best friends goes corp.....I think Weirwille rounded up the entire campus. He called them "HIS GIRLS" What a Creep. I have first hand knowledge of his despicable behaviours and was told by my dearest, sweet friend who had been overtaken by brainwashing thatt the "Lord needs beautiful women".....I felt like I was being recruited to "HOOK" for Jesus./ Things have changed alot. Everone that once was a part is now apart. It has ruined countless peoples lives,,,,,,my brother and his wife both died seperately from cancer leaving 3 children behind, I believe that the grief of losing their connectioon to omething they believed so strongly in helped to manifest their disease. And My beautiful roommate? My friend is very sick now, She needs professional help from a doctor for depression and panic attacks.....it all stems from the sexual mess she found herself in with the WhereWILL I hope she recovers.....it's been a long road. Last night I talked with her for the first time in many years and to this day she says that I was the smarrt one. That the Way and VPW ruined her life. I hope she finds peace...like I hope many of you do.

Thank you for your web site about The Way. I spent 13 years (1973-1987) and met my husband while in The Way. I am very thankful for the good things I learned and have tried to forget the bad. I find it so sad that Craig Martindale and other leaders hav become so controlling. There was always a touch of that in the Way but now it is overwhelming! I am thankful for the good things about God and HIs Word I learned while in The Way but thankful now I have been set free from The Way also. God Bless

I just wanted you to know that I am recently married to an ex-way member. My new husband is so full of God's love and so knowledgeable about the Bible that I feel overwhelmed at times. I am so thankful that God has sent this man to me and that he had th availability of the truths that he was exposed to. Hi Greg: I appreciated reading your posts. You are welcome to write here anytime and indeed post in the Open Forum too. A threaded discussion in the Open Forum can however be more easily maintained.

You are entitled to your opinions on the site. I respect them, and I carefully read peoples opinions and use them as a gauge to see how I might be coming across to people.

From e-mails that I have received, people are getting all sorts of things out of WayDale. The response has been overwhelmingly positive.

The intent of the site is not to be negative, accusative or vicious. I have tried hard to keep the content on as even a keel as I can manage. I purposefully try to write articles that are as unslanted and as non biased as I can make them. I have 20 + years of involvement with TWI and so the job of remaining unslanted can be difficult at times.

I simply want people to know what The Way is really like. If someone wants to obtain information on The Way International, I believe that they should know some of the real "behind the scenes" truth of The Way and The Way trustees. Revealing this information will oftentimes of necessity, make the site somewhat negative, but it's a lot better to find out the truth BEFORE involvement, that find out after 10 or 20 years.

Some people ask the question about people like me who stand against The Way and other such groups, "why don't you just move on?" - to them I have to say that I spent more than 20 years recruiting for The Way, convincing people that involvement in The Way and their activities was beneficial. The least that I can now do is spend a small portion of time trying to help people see the truth and the danger of this group.

The Way are still lying to people. They are still deceiving people. They are still manipulating people. They are still enslaving people in bondage and oppression.

Should I move on? or should I sound the alarm? I will eventually move on, but not yet.

Anyway, forgive my ranting, but I do hope that this helps you better understand where WayDale is coming from and what it hopes to offer people. We do not pretend to offer people doctrine or theology or recovery from abusive churches - we simply offer people "insider" information on The Way, information that The Way trustees never intended for the general public to see.

I will re-print the sentiments from the WayDale opening page:

Your site is interesting to say the least, but a little too negative for my taste and I often wonder what the profit is ???? As I recall king David never laid a hand on Saul (1 SAM. 26;23 ) and we know how screw up saul was.....
