  1. Ah yes the Mystery! This is that concept where Jews and Gentiles are together with one Lord and Savior and together in one body of Christ. Except - 1. Did they take “the class” yet? If not they need to to really really be a part 2. All the heads of denominations are seed of the serpent and devil spirit influenced so don’t go to any of their churches, collaborate with them, have joint ministries with them, give them any money, or do anything other than witness to them the greatness of this “class” 3. If you are in debt you aren’t really really ready to fully fellowship with them 4. Any of their “causes” are second rate causes where the first rate cause is giving to TWI to support Craig’s pension, insurance payoffs from misconduct, Rosalie’s housekeepers, molten metal statues of VP for desks and lobbies, and keeping Gunnison open for like 100 people a year to visit but make sure “bless patrol “ is fully staffed to keep others including Christians out. 5. The Ways investment arm - like the Mormon church they make money from your money. 6. Militant inspired leadership training - the “Way Corps” 7. Weekly phone hookups where you dress up and play audience 8. Highly controlled “manifestations” where they are the only people who do them accurately. 9. The law of believing that works for saint and sinner alike except the saints get more blame for “not believing” enough. 10. Conspiracy theory at the Advanced Class 11. A top leadership body that listens to and is accountable to nobody on earth. Isn’t it great that we now have the Great Mystery revealed in our day and time? /s (sarcasm flag) The biggest mystery to me is why I put up with all that bullshonta for multiple decades of my life. Experience a release from that mystery and vote with your feet. Then the mystery of the scriptures with all nations and former persuasions being united in one body of Christ will become actually alive to you.

  2. I learned years later all that the Wow ambassadors' sicky-sweetness was fake. Some analyst call it "love bombing". They would shower you with love and think you are just the most interesting person they have ever met. But over time, once you are in the fold that sicky sweet veneer wears off real fast. I can't say that for all people, their are plenty of good people the ministry. The Way Corps people could be so mean-spirited it would cause one to take pause and ask one's self, why am I continuously tolerating this verbal abuse? The leader was always right and you were reprimanded if you even thought anything to the contrary. They said it is part of "The Mystery". The mystery is why I stayed too long at the fair. So glad got out of it, it was very difficult for me, but God found a way for me.

  3. 144. following the "principles" of PFAL leads to a life of discontentment. wierwille uses this proof-text to give reason for chasing after material abundance: New King James Version The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly… John 10:10 HOWEVER The author of Ecclesiastes said one who pursues abundance will never be satisfied. New King James Version He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity…. Ecclesiastes 5:10 Perhaps David in the OT already clarified the abundance Jesus would bring: The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing… Psalm 23:1 NIV

  4. Being introspective would definitely be a two-edged sword for the corps - all that criticism causing you to look inside your thoughts and feelings and see nothing but sin and weaknesses would cause anyone to loathe themselves plus with Christ being out of the picture - there was no light, truth and love to bring wisdom and inner strength. I know how dark and painful sin-consciousness and self-loathing are and that was just with me pointing all the fingers at myself - coming to know Christ after leaving twi is such deliverance.

  5. Yeah, basically never fast enough, never strong enough, never good enough. Praise was rare in my way corps training and we were treated like pond scum by the staff and graduated way corps. So most of the training is mostly polishing the flesh from an introspective perspective. I had extremely low self esteem as graduated way corps but also an ego the size of texas because I was way corps.

  6. It doesn't matter whether or not he believed it himself. The point is that he lent credibility to a guy who did.

  7. So, the answer is to tell people they're possessed by a "devil spirit"?? Yeah, I think I can see why they might feel unwelcome here.

  8. This. A rant. Not a conversation. This too. There are plenty of men around who are kind, considerate, wonderfully well rounded men, who are so far from the "macho" male image that they must be from another planet - the macho nitwits, that is. And there are plenty of women who are pioneering, bold, won't-be-told women who have broken the "ceilings" imposed on them (generally by patriarchal or paternalistic societal norms). All power to those who want to smash those restrictive norms, whether they be male or female. But calling a dog a cat, or a cat a dog, doesn't make it so.

  9. Yes it is. And I just realized the 5 steps never tell you how to get it. Just talk about it in a circular fashion. Wait I think I am seeing a pattern here....

  12. Now THAT'S the kind of crap that was thrown around so much with TWI. This sounds so...academic. So...intellectual. But upon closer view, it makes absolutely no sense but people would go "woooh"! By the way, who said that? A friend of mine and I concluded that people at the Rock of Ages never actually listened to what was being said from the mainstage, they simply listened for voice inflections. You could say anything and if you had the right voice inflection you would get a cheer from the crowd. The emphasis was on sounding good, not on substance. Do you remember how VP would often be speaking and during the talk he would get all choked up. "Aw kids, you break my heart!" then in the next breath his voice would return to normal? I used to be amazed at how fast he could click in and out of such deeply felt emotional states. Actually, even then I suspected the whole thing was for show, and he clicked in and out of emotional states to manipulate his audience. No one ever said the man wasn't slick.

  15. Bliss, this is crazy that you bring this up - it's one of the things that got me posting on GreaseSpot again... we live next to a couple who fellowship with IHOP. And even though I did not know about their religious affiliations, I kept getting this twi-kinda-vibe off of them. And then they started having meetings at their house - tons of cars parked out front. I came home, saw the cars, and had a momentary flashback to the twi days. Lots of young people, and they all seem so niave and fakey-sweet-friendly- but-somehow-distant. It all came rushing back. They even FEEL the same way as twi!
