  1. I had an Uncle, my Mother's brother, that was in the Infantry "anti-tank" corp that serverd under Patton's command. I remember my uncle saying Patton was tough as nails and a "very outspoken" commander. many times they would come into a town in Europe and see some of Pattons tanks waiting for fuel and supplies. With Veterans day comming, i remember my Uncle going through WW2 from him and family telling of him landing on Omaha beach head through the Battle of the Bulge and then home without getting hurt, except from what my mother said about my Uncle getting a few scratches from raiding a frenchmans wine cellar. :P As far as Way leaders when i was "in", 1974, were fair at the local level but...............on the higher lvl could be very deciving. (nothing new to people who worked with the ones at the top). Remember our american Veterans this VEteran's day 2012 by saying thanks to those who have served and are still serving. :beer:/> :dance:/> :beer:/>
  2. TWI and reaserch? yea............they do reasearch.............................but on "HOW" to flece the members out of more money, or anyone else they can for more money. seems to have worked so far on what little membership they have left.
  3. and have you noticed that the "Family Table" is now closed...........because of lack of activity for 3 years. LOL :P
  4. already using?????? haven't they been doing that for the last 15 to 20 years? and the mannequins would be smarter that Roseylie and her cronies. and a whole lot better maybe at running things.
  5. I agree with ya word wolf. bail = getting nailed but i bet they have had a BIG brainstorming session.......if there were any brains left..........thinking about how they could do it. lol
  6. Glad to hear the GSC isn't closing. haven't posted as much as i did when GSC opened, but still come around to check things out. <Wish to hear that a certian farm in Ohio would say "last one to leave please shut off the lights and lock the doors for good"> lol.
  7. I remember when Mr. Gahagan was running Dr. Vic (cough, cough, gag, gag) asked for any and all help from the belivers that could help.
  8. Think we can give Roseie and the BOD's a courtasy fold????
  9. I think dabobbada has a point. :) But with only 21 people "liking" him, it has to be people either in the ministry or people who doesn't know his background. Probably the former. I sat through some of the Craigsters rantings at the College of Emporia when it was still owend by the Way. I was never really impressed with his style. Too many people that could teach the word better and bet that knew more than him too. He even came to one of the sunday morning teachings at Emporia on his motorcycle. Had to be like the Vicster ya know. All i can say is that he was a big pompass A$$, either his way or the hyway.
  10. I was doing a random search for him on the net and 1 of the results was a facebook page. Don't know if it's legit or not as there is no picture up on the page, but it seems like 'ol Craggy has a Facebook page. Anyone know if it's real? A inquiring mind would like to know. Mine, lol. If so...........welcome to the computer age Craig.
  11. just a quick question, is that figureativly or literally?   just a quick question, is that figureativly or literally?

  15. hey Paw. Hope you are doing good. take care.

  16. I opened my email and saw the notice email about Greasespot closeing. Paw. u have done an admirable job over the years of keeping the peace, making us laugh, and also putting up with silly ppl like me when i was posting wayback when. You and the site will be missed by us all. the comradery, the laughs and the times just to have a shoulder to cry on. I salute you Paw. take care in your walk and may the road rise up to meet you, may the wind always be at your back. may the sun shine warm apon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields.
  17. the "it is not linear" is from the 1st DS9 "The Emmisary" where the energy "Prophets" are in the worm hole that Cisco encounters.
  18. Ok here's one that is in 2 different episodes. but the only one that counts is the original episod that it was 1st seen in. "I'd be willing to bet that i've just put a hole in it and can't see it because you are keeping me frome seeing it." And remember that it has to be the first episode that the phrase or something like it was in.
  19. If this topic needs to be moved from this area or removed, the moderators may do so. I bought the book "Free Money", i haven't really gotten to read it yet (just glanced through it). But found a website that may help ppl if they have "Lost Money". Money that has been forgotten and due you. the website "missingmoney.com" is free to create an account. I didn't personally find any lost money but someone may. It could be paychecks, stocks, rebates or something that is due to you, a relative or a friend. But thought that I would pass along the website to everyone.
  20. sounds like the TWI that i left so many years ago. rehashing and whitewashing the same old BULL-onie. only then there WERE a few ppl that honestly cared, and wanted, to search and teach God's word as it was ment to be, or spokeout against what was going on. but what happened?? the leaders that be booted them and then marked and avoided them out of TWI. can't have any possesed ppl corrupting the flock. POP was a power play by CG to possibly take over or be a part of the top leaders in "The Way". as far as i'm concerned CG was just as guilty as the rest. i think that he knew about 'ol Vic's background early on and didn't speak out till he thought that he might get caught up in it too and exposed. and why is D. M. still in while her husband was ousted?? others that were married were both marked and avoided at the same time and asked to leave. can you say "double standard"???but C. M. was let stay in ministry owned property. with what's left in the ministry, the BOT's should divide up the money to the followers, pull the blinds and sing "the party's over, over, ooooover." and quietly slink away. like the s**kes they are. the classes are the same old horse patty that they have been teaching for years. only re-written and white washed.
  21. Hi all. Back from a long hiatus away from greasespot cafe. Was noticing twinky's comment about the "rationing of the toilet paper yet?" The statement is basically true. I moved down to Emporia, KS in november of 1978 and stayed on the campus, when TWI still owned it. Well, the cleaning slaves, I mean staff, was cleaning the bathrooms in 1 of the "dorms" for the single ppl. Well the person in charge came in to check up on how they were doing. Talk about going ballistic. The person, one of the in resident Way Corps staff cam down on the ppl for the amount of toilet paper being used. Yea, a 1st class rant on the people doing the cleaning. I think it was a woman doing the backside chewing about ppl not using only 4 sheets of TP at the max and costing the Way a fortune in over using the toilet paper. Yea, only 4 sheets of paper per person. Talk about a A**l retention problem the Way Corps person had the new person in the Corps almost in a river of tears because of some ppl not being good stewards and using way too much TP. Maybe some of the other people here that were in at that time can remember the older Corps going off about the 4 sheet of TP per person. I think it was even discussed by the leadership that people were only to use the 4 sheets. V.P. had said that was all that was needed.
  22. Hey, thanks gang. glad to have the b-day wishes. had kind of a quiet day really. mom and i went to a Godfathers pizza place and had the buffet, and no i didn't pig out. oink oink. i turned the big double nickles today. for all of you non CB'ers that's 55. and i feel every bit of it too. I hope to be around for a few more years. BTW, the little kid with the cake....................kind of reminds me of what mom said about me when i was little. lol
  23. I remember taking the PFAL class in the Seabees in 1974 (the year TWI aquired the WCE campus, correct me if i'm wrong). I also remember that some of my friends that took the class in the service (Gary Matsuk, Littlehawk, and a few others if i'm not mistaken) may have even went to help work on the campus to do work on helping get the buildings fixed up during the 1 month leave we had comming per year. Seeing the pics of the old campus bring back a lot of memories. I lived there from november 1978 to just before the ROA '79. Looking back on that time now i would have never gotten back involved with the ministry. At the time I remember that when I took the class, most of the fellowships pretty much ran themselfs, not with all of the leagalism that was starting to build at the time. I know 20/20 hindsight and all that, but there was a lot of fun mixed in those times too that was later quelched out as not meeting the strick standards of the "Overseers" that was to come. When I was at Emporia I remember that some of the guys made a water ballon slingshor with 2 pieces of the strechy rubber tubing and a water funnel and got up on the balcony of the middle 'Dorm' south of the dining hall and started shooting water ballons at the people on the grounds. As i remember they were getting the ballons as far as the west side of the steps going into Kenyon Hall.
  24. The look of a few of our fellow Greasespotters before thier first cup of coffee in the morning. And i think the problem of me not being able to upload pics is over now. I hope.
  25. looking at some of the clips makes me think of TWI to a certian degree. Only these adults are more open in what they are teaching thease kids. The kids are going to be growing up thinking that what they are being taught is the "ONLY" way of how christianity is supposed to be. I know that in what I've read about Jesus and kids is that Jesus didn't go around teaching to be "zombies" for GOD, or militants either.
