...you took inventory of EVERYTHING in your house, including counting kitchen utensils and silverware, in order to be prepared (?) for a possible Jan. 1, 2000 melt-down..... .... on that same New Year's Eve, you left a party early to be home by 10:00 p.m. as recommended by leadership, in order to avoid the chaos and riots.... ....you watched some child being reproved by the 'rod' and did nothing to stop it (that still hurts my heart something fierce)

...you believe that the amount of dust on the top of your refrigerator is equal to the spiritual cleanliness of your mind...you might be in a cult ...you can't use any of the words derived from 'to create' without feeling guilty (unless you're talking about God)...you might be in a cult

Another myth was that if a woman used Ms. instead of Mrs., she was buying into society's attempt to discredit the sanctity of marriage. I got a good talkin' to when I used that on a card registering for a class.

Just remembered these two, which actually responsible for me leaving- The first was that you had to go 2x2 everywhere possible, or the adversary had a direct way in-The second was that whenever anyone took a trip of any length or duration, you had to file a form of the particulars with the BC or, again, the adversary had a way in. Evidently TWI thought God needed the help of the 2x2 and all important form to protect people. In fact, when a fatal accident happened to someone who did not file a report, it was explained that they had essentially brought it upon themselves by not doing so and were outside God's hedge of protection.

Today, as I was enjoying a good stare, I remembered how when anyone looked like they were staring or daydreaming some of the people in our area would make sure to get their attention right away to snap them out of it. The reasoning was that during those times one's mind was empty and any ol' thing could come in and take up residence. It used to really bug me. Anyone else hear of this belief?

A former HC of mine said that his wife's ample busom was the result of his speaking in tongues for just such a thing. When she heard him say this she asked him to please stop-enough already!

What about "booty calls"? Anyone have any experience with agreeing to have a purely sexual relationship with someone because you're between steady boy/girl friends and going crazy? On one hand I can see logically that this may work, on the other, I wonder if emotional attachments don't arise and cause problems.
