  1. It took us several years to leave. from '94 or so, when we quit running out own fellowship, life got more and more grim. In '96 some wierd/awful stuff happened involving people we really liked--that was a big crack. '98 we went through major busy body reproof. I didn't want to return, hubby did. The next year we walked on eggshells. I wanted out.Our HFC was nasty to me, nice to hubby, but was sly, so hubby didn't see/hear the crap. In '99 we took a three week vacation. Ahh freedom. We came back to more 'we just want to help you' crap. We walked. At that time we were not M&A--but became that way with in months. Never heard from any of our 'friends' again. Still Giddy with Freedom!(Life, even with its ups and downs, has been far, far more pleasant since leaving.)
  2. I remember "Confrontation." I think my last HFC must have recorded it from a tape or something because I heard it alot. Sad--I remember Mike Martin before he got LCM brained.
  3. "Wash My Feet" was sung by Mike Martin at the live WAP advanced class in 1998 at HQ. It is from some psalm. It was well received. Of course, Mike M is a lot livelier than the Singing Ladies. It may have only been played a couple of times--I never heard it on a SST so don't know if you'll find the words. I think the wicked the song referred to was M&A folk. Like us! Just one of the many things that made AC'98 so 'spayshul.'
  4. We were sharply reproved in 1999 for our participation in our school site council. We had three kids in that school, No believers came to our school faire that we helped organize. I have a teaching degree and volunteered as an aide for the neatest kindergarten teacher, with 28 kids in the class. We thought it was important for our kids and for the school. BUT it was one Thursday night every month--a household fellowship night! Where were our spiritual priorities?? Oldiesman-- for me, I can't remember the 'old' days with a light heart. TWI1 and TWI2 are not that easy for me to separate. I lost most of my dear twi1 friends, and those that stayed like we did changed like we did over the years. We saw people change for the worse, from being warm and compassionate and fun to being hard, cold and angry--or simply frozen in fear. So a sweet memory of Jane Believer from, say, the limb picnic in 1980 combined with the Jane Believer,1996 corps Nazi memory brings more regrets than anything else. Funny thing--the reason we stayed in through the fog years when most of our dear ones left is because we remembered the sweet times so well and wanted them back. Look where that got us.
  5. Indiana last I heard. In or out?
  6. Golly! I was a wow in Peoria in 83-84. We took a lovely new girl to the ROA. She and I were roomies--I was her maid of honor in her '85 wedding...sound familiar?? You can email me at nightmelody@hotmail.com
  7. I lived with her my first year in the word. She was fun. Once she ministered to me because I was really hung over...she ministered for 'all the impurities to leave my body'...they did... If you lurk here, Andrea, I was the short one.
  8. Interim corps, 1980,81, Kalispell, MT. Lost track years ago...
