  1. I missed that Rock. I never stood in line naked. :-) Hmm, maybe I was naked and just don't remember it. No, my kids would definitely be telling me about it now. ~Chrispy
  2. I think there is a record of personal prophecy in Acts 16. Remember Paul's thorn in the flesh? The woman saying, "these men are the servants of the most high God..." :) Chrispy
  3. Btw reminder to all those not used to our split personality I am the Richie half of the Duality of RichnChrispy. Hi to all my new friends I met at the BBQ. Dooj you got the next menu planned for me so I can eat something besides tater chips? Iffin y'all are a-nice to me I might keep a postin. Rich, the better Duffy.

  8. T-Bone was right about Tom Strange!
  9. Hey! Rich and I are here at Ex10's house for the pre-BBQ. Some people are already here. Still waiting on some others. The real shindig starts tomorrow. About 11 of us so far. Chrispy
  10. This is Richard Chrispy & I were deeply involved with Momentus and the sponsorship team in Houston in the mid 90's. What started out as a good experience for both individuals and the church community eventually dissolved into chaos - in my opinion. Lots of blame to go around. But to me the people/the community got off track by focusing in two areas - away from Jesus and onto the training experience; and on the negatives in people while ignoring the positives, the gifts in peoples lives. We had one experience with some gifted health care professionals and volunteers who wanted to get rid of a troublesome woman at their facility for a weekend - so we agreed and they drove her over with her 20 pill bottles. She was almost incoherent and any amount of lgat training on her would have been useless. So we asked her what she did - what was her gift? She shared this and we happened to have a point of contact with her gifting and we put her to work. She blossomed immediately into a coherent and vibrant person for the rest of the weekend. She became a good friend. Our friends who sent her over could not believe it when we told them. Will this solve all mental emotional and physical problems? No. But I remind myself there is another way to work with people - accentuate the positives, focus on their gifts and let people contribute. Good positive work rooted in a person's gifts is a wonderful way to help a person blossom. Sorta like love, joy, peace, gentleness, and what are the rest? It's kinda like the kids in the sandbox who had a fight but lay it aside and just get back to the joy of playing. Jesus said something about being little children didn't he? Now I wonder how I can turn this into a weekend training and make money off of it? (joking)
  11. Wow, what a humorous thread. But I am also so sorry to hear that some of you had bad experiences with the Colon Cleanse. I heard about the cleanse when I was 17. Our branch coordinator in 1972, gave me GreenLIFE (the little green pills of sprouted cereal grains, not just alfalfa) for my pregnancy. I had morning sickness really bad. Years later when I was out of the Way, I came across it again and became a distributor. Grace Bliss, who promoted the cleanse in the Way, died only a few years ago at the age of 94. She was something! I am not sure how the Corps was taught to do the cleanse, but I know several people who did it improperly and that is why they were terribly ill during it. I doubt the the Way provided all the supplements that you are supposed to be taking throughout the day for the week you are on the cleanse. These include, GreenLIFE, Vitamin C, Wheatgerm Oil, and sometimes Beet tablets. It is important to follow the directions, do the daily enemas or colemas and most of all, alleviate STRESS. I cannot imagine being able to do this in the Way Corps! I feel wonderful while doing it. And even better when I am done. I have never felt weak or ill. I do the cleanse about every other year. If anyone wants more details, please PM me. Happy cleansing! Chrispy
  12. The difference between a nerd and a geek is that Geeks get it done. ^_^ Chrispy
  13. They are probably redoing the sites. I would expect them to. Especially if they are going to re-examine that subject. But you can still get to much of it through the online catalog. http://www.truthortradition.com/modules.ph...cle&sid=557 Chrispy
  14. Dooj- By definition an analogy will never be comparing apples with apples. ;) Chrispy
  15. We will never "know" everything about anything. But I am looking for fruit. When you look at fruit, it doesn't matter if the tree is misshapen, or the bark is peeling. If the fruit is good, you have a good tree. If the fruit is bad, you decide if you want to cut the tree down and burn it or feed it what it may be lacking. I think it is very good that things have been brought out of the shadows and posted here. Initially, I was told the controversy was merely about Mark firing Dan. But I knew something else was going on because I was getting poor communication from the CES Home Office. Turned out Jeff was gone, too! When I read Elizabeth Lynn's letter, I could see that a lot more was wrong. Everyone needs to take a look [sorry, Momentus phrase]. By the way, if you haven't read that letter, you are missing a LOT of bad fruit! Chrispy
  16. Possibly titled The Passing of the Outstanding Patriarch's Poop or PoOPP for short.
  17. I hold out hope that adults may begin acting like adults and respecting other adults and their boundaries. That people will stop acting like mogs and just want to be regular christians hanging out with the other regular christians and actually loving people. People will talk less and listen more. When they do speak they will speak more about the life and words of Jesus and less about theology. People will spend more time volunteering at food banks and Habitat for Humanity and Literacy Programs. People will spend more time having fun, going out dancing or throwing their own dance, etc. People will try to remember what it was like being a little child in their Abba's arms.
  18. Satori I wanna be your bus driver. I am well qualified. While everyone else is sitting around possessed and unable to function I will spend hours cleaning the bus and waxing. While everyone else is in a fog doing nothing I will buy groceries and stock the fridge with Drambuie, etc. While everyone else is screwing everything up I, me, the great I, will go out and procur the women for your bus and make sure they are ready and willing. I will do your laundry, paint the house, print and ship the books and tapes and count the money. Cook the food wash the dishes fold the laundry. In other words while every other spiritual loser is sitting around losing I will work 72 hours a day making sure the spiritual tenor of your life is perfect oh great MOG. I just wanna own the copyrights to your works. Please keep believing to live oh great Satori!! Richard
  19. Tzaia I am going on the presumption that you are the computer tech person who lost out when Jeff went a different direction with tech support. Is this true? Richard
  20. What I did hear from one friend is that his wife and another woman went to a Women's Conference and came away feeling like they were almost ready to go in the parking lot and burn their bras. Lots of anti-man anger. But then some of it was coming from events with Vic & friends and their motorcoach - and I know that can make a person very very angry if they were subjected to that inexcusable abuse. Also KAG mentioned encountering the old TWI dominant male clergy attitude and having a hard time being allowed to contribute in the 90's. So I think she pushed back until she was heard. My question for her would be - was she pushing so everyone would have more voice - or so KAG would have more of a say? I think it was more the latter. I think that this was a small group of women in CES that had this attitude and ongoing struggles, and I am not sure everyone knew their background when they encountered these ladies. So I think some people were left walking away and saying "wow where did that come from?" and they didn't always get a clear answer about the past influences. But then we also see in all of this the TWI influence of the strong male leader - who likes to talk a lot and doesn't listen near enough. I think this is not across the board, some better, some worse. But overall it is the corporate leader role model which I personally think does not fit with a Jesus led church, and leads to lots of sandbox pushing and shoving. People eventually get frustrated and push back or they leave. Richard
  21. If there will be any changes to their websites, it will probably be to the http://stfonline.org website. I don't expect them to change it until 1/15 after the board meets and the new president is elected. Check here on Monday or Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. Chrispy
