OMG..Lorna!!! [name deleted] as a spiritual leader? Writing articles for the Way Mag Rag? He was horrendous here in the beautiful state of VT, where MR. TOMMY HILFIGER (aka. [name deleted]) decimated an entire area. Pompous, abusive (verbally, and almost physically), arrogant, rude, prideful, deceitful, ....well u get it. I too am seasoned (47 years young) have had more than my share of injuries (broken back and neck-2 separate accidents--horse). Anyway, I work out aerobically--use the Firm with weights, and keep track of my weight and inches. I noticed a creeping up of my belly and waist (2 separate measurements) and figured it was middle aged spread. I got really frustrated and got quiet and believe i was told to cut down on coffee, cut out refined sugars, white stuff--bread, bagels, pretzels, no desserts and no alcohol. I lost the 5 lbs i gained in my belly and waist this way (in about 7-10 days) and i did add back in some cheats--a little glass of wine, some granola on my yogurt. I try to eat whole foods and nutritious choices---God put vitamins and minerals in the colored fruits and veggies. Oh yes, I am also an RN...(lots of coffee and bagels around in our OR break room...so I did have some temptations.) Hope this helps....this past holiday I did break my diet, and I did get more tired.....so I am right back on it. After a few days..the energy will be right up there.

Has anyone heard of a planet that is supposed to be large (like the moon is large) and seen in the next few days? My sister-in-law said this and I haven't seen anything listed on the science/tech sites on MSNBC nor at the NASA sites. (I thought it would be cool if it were Jupiter) and the next day she said it was supposed to be Jupiter. She is no Way person...just your average joe. Jupiter is the Kings' planet. What say u? Was hoping that Zixar would be discussing it.

I remember our area leadership, upon graduating from family corps...we "blessed them" with a new rifle for the Dad, an expensive leather bound Nelsons' Bible for mom, gifts for each of the kids........of course this was all dictated by the dads' close friend..and member of the "twig".....i think this was in the days of no gifts (excuse me bribes...) but this was a SPECIAL occasion......oh yes, this "wonderful leader" expected us to buy a Kincaide print for the next leaders, (still can't stand Kincaide for that reason).....help him pack and move, etc what have u done for me lately......

Just saw it and it was intense! I have always read the Passion in the Gospels and I guess my brain could picture it..I would always cry. So the beatings, although many and brutal didn't make me cry too much. I cried when I emotionally identified with Mary,Jesus' mother, and how that must have been terrible of her to lose her child (flesh of her flesh, heart of her heart)...I too cried with the flashback of running to her little son and soothing him when he falls and skins a knee. There was much symbolism, and detailed storyline. It would be worth going again, but I think once is enough for me. I too, suffered from WAYBRAIN, counting the fallings, the 3 denials of Peter, and finally relinquished my heart to Gods' wonderful Son. I would have liked to hear "for this purpose I was spared...vs....Father,Father, why hast tho forsaken me" (or is it read the previous as it was all in subtitles) All in all, a great evangelistic tool. The world is full of fake violence, real violence, etc....nothing less than truth and shocking reality would catch and render people speechless and maybe, just maybe, get some to acknowledge the one, true, God. Mel started the film with Bible quotes and if you follow it all thru...and believe, I believe Roms 10:9- 10 is covered. I love Everwood on the WB on Monday nights at 9 pm. Good family show that will instill discussion. I think the writing is fantastic! Also, kudos to Joan of Arcadia....love it! maybe i am having selective amnesia, but didn't VPW say that the life was in the sperm of the man and hence forth that is what gives life to the egg of the women? i don't remember the comments of white cells or red cells.....but sperm cells are alive...they can become dead and without flagellation henceforth they can no longer have motility and cannot impregnate the egg. i do not believe eggs are alive or dead. they are eggs...1/2 of dna chromasomes are from the female, 1/2 from the male. pt. 10 at the start of this thread...altho the gospels were written after the resurrection, they were about Jesus' life; his birth-lineage-actions-death. i do believe they were written to the Israelites to prove that He was the Messiah...for believers' this is a no brainer. it is for our learning. do i agree with everything in PFAL? of course not. i agree that lama is a question why? it makes sense. if JC suffered and was tempted in all things...he would be tempted to believe that God deserted him...don't we in times of extreme trial question the same. even for a quick second...then we grab our mind back and know "I will never leave you or forsake you". i don't believe cancer is devil spirit possession...as my (then) 12 y.o. son had it...i believe it is mutations of genes...environmental...dna....what have u. i was protected from hearing this during the Defeating the Adv. class....i truly did not hear this at all.......amazing! since my son was sick at the time.....God works in mysterious ways.
