  1. Taxes aren't the answer....unless, you just want to pay more taxes. This sort of tax simply gets passed on... trickle down taxing!
  2. Old age is tough on husbands -- But, it is important for men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes harder for them to maintain the same quality of housekeeping, as when they were younger. When you notice this, try to be a considerate husband and show some understanding. My name is Wayne, and let me relate how I handled the situation with my wife, Beverly. When I retired a few years ago, it became necessary for Bev to get a full time job along with her part-time job, both for extra income and for the health benefits that we needed. Shortly after she started working, I noticed she was beginning to show her age. I usually get home from the golf course, about the same time, as she gets home from work. Although she knows how hungry I am, she almost always says she has to rest for half an hour or so, before she starts dinner. I don't yell at her. Instead, I tell her to take her time and just wake me when she gets dinner on the table. I generally have lunch in the Men's Grill at the country club, so eating out again at night, is not reasonable. I am ready for some home-cooking when I hit that door. She used to do the dishes as soon as we finished eating, but now it's not unusual for them to sit on the table for several hours after dinner. I do what I can by diplomatically reminding her several times each evening that the dishes won't clean themselves. I know she really appreciates this, as it does seem to motivate her to get them done before she goes to bed. Another symptom of aging is complaining. For example, she will say that it is difficult for her to find time to pay the monthly bills during her lunch hour. But, boys, we take them for better or worse, so I just smile and offer encouragement. I tell her to stretch it our over two or even thee days. That way she won't have to rush so much. I also remind her that missing lunch completely now and then wouldn't hurt her any (if you know what I mean). I like to think that this is one of my strong points. When doing simple jobs, she seems to think she need more rest periods. She had to take a break, when she was only half finished mowing the yard. I try not to make a scene. I am a fair man. I tell her to fix herself a nice big, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and just sit for a while. And, as long as she is making one for herself, she may as well make one for me, too. I know that I probably look like a saint in the way I support Bev, and I am not saying that showing this much consideration is easy. Nobody knows better than I do how frustrating women get as they get older, but guys, even if you just use a more tact and less criticism of your aging wife because of this letter, I will consider that writing it was well worthwhile. After all, we are put on this earth to help each other. Signed, Wayne Postscript: Wayne died tragically shortly after writing this letter. Although his wife's prints were found all over the murder weapon, a Calloway extra long 50-inch Big Bertha Driver II golf club, the all-women jury took only 15 minutes to find her not guilty.
  3. Hello Greek2me, Oddly enough, I just might be able to help you out or at least point you in the right direction. Cellulose fiber products, are not actually my area of expertise...unless of course, you'd be interested in acquiring the machinery and equipment to manufacture your own products. Anyway, it's highly unlikely you'll be able to buy direct from any of the remaining manufacturer's factories direct...unless of course, you're in a position to contractually commit to purchasing a high volume of sizable quantity orders; otherwise, they'll most likely just refer you to one of their distributors -- which again, depending upon the size of your market, becoming a distributor yourself, for one of the manufacturers, might be an option worth pursuing. Other than the major paper companies, who actually produce the cellulose fiber, the primary manufacturers here would be Proctor & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, Scott Paper, etc. (but, with so many mergers and acquisitions a common trend among these industries, ownership of any and all of them is subject to change). I think some of these products are also manufactured by subsidiary companies of textile manufacturers, like Standard Textile out of Reading, Ohio. Although, I think they've recently caught the Chinese bug (as many of the others have), so I'm not sure if they're still partnered with any cellulose fiber manufacturing here in the states (cloth diapers, maybe Heheh!) Nevertheless, if you're interested in whatever limited information I may be able to provide, it might be better to do so off the board, in which case, you're more than welcome to PM me. And if not -- that's ok too. Either way, best of luck to you!
  4. Indeed that is more serious -- as are the insinuations and conjectures inferred throughout this thread, that this culprit impersonating Doojable, was quite likely another poster/member of this discussion board. Regardless of any subsequent discussions, that may have already taken place, among members in this board's private auxiliary sub-forums, or wherever -- Normally, one would expect some sort of postscript, to a thread such as this -- as a means of clarification -- by either Doojable or one of those who'd initially posted their conjectural insinuations, that the one who'd gained access to Doojable's computer, and who was releasing personal information about others, WAS or WAS NOT, someone from this discussion board and maybe even known to many others here. To leave postulations of such a serious nature, just hanging out there, in a thread in the open forum is quite troubling, to say the least. To not make a postscript, here in kind, publicly, where this thread originated, would not only be irresponsible, but would be a further invitation to those on this board, whose favorite pastime seems to be speculating wildly about their ill-conceived suspicions concerning others. Actually, this thread seems made to order for them....perhaps, that was the intended purpose? And in retrospect, this thread seems indicative, of more of, what one should normally expect here.
  5. In caecus terrae, luscus rex est.
  6. Sounds as if he simply filed to have his records expunged...As long as it's not a federal crime/conviction, I think it can be done in every state, with each state having their own eligibility requirements.
  7. Progress in processing not seen since the first century...serving churches for the better part of the last century. About Welch's Year 1869 marks the beginning of the processed fruit juice industry for Welch’s. Welch’s 100% Concord Grape Juice is imported directly from USA, made from 100% Concord grapes that is known to have the highest heart-healthy anti-oxidants among other varieties of grapes. Concord grape juice has been found, after extensive medical research, to contain sufficient quantities of 2 natural ingredients – Resveratrol and Flavonoids. These ingredients help to prevent blood clots, blocked vessels, the thickening of the arterial walls and the oxidation of “bad” LDL cholesterol. Drinking 12oz of Concord purple grape juice a day will provide you with sufficient anti-oxidant power equivalent to eating 23 bananas, 4½ glasses orange juice or 19 apples. Made of 100% Concord Grapes. Just a cup provides 100% of recommended daily intake of Vitamin C. No artificial flavors, colors, no added sugar, no cholesterol or saturated fat.
  8. ... she must have forgot to mention the importance of presentation
  9. I meant only to offer a possible explanation for opening the thread -- providing those links and quotes (seemingly most relevant) in an effort to illustrate how the discussion alluded to, could be considered germane to the topic.
  10. Just as he may or may not have authored this post titled - My YWAM Horror Story. . .
  11. It would seem to me it's merely a matter of concern that's being alluded to -- much the same as many other topics opened for further discussion and comment -- just as it's become a hot topic on many other boards, such as this one - where the guy may or may not have been a regular member. * Edited to include name of the poster/date/time posted
  12. Ha! First attempt 286,000 Level 9 TIQ 103 I thought you said "speed" was not as important as accuracy? I looked away from the screen for what seemed like just a couple of seconds and lost my chance to even click the location for one here in the states. Sheesh! Of all to places, to miss and have it ask me if I know I'm on earth. LOL And you're right those African cities were a trip -- one I'd need to do more than pack a lunch to find -- even if I did a second run! BTW...Aren't Rhino's suppose to know Africa like that tip of their horn? ;)
  13. Doubtful your enjoyment will be nearly as satisfying as Hap seemingly enjoyed the excerpts.
  14. ...And so, what did happen to QQ?
