you should stop by Gruhn's Guitars in Nashville also. They have a very eclectic collection of different instruments. here's a pic of a 1915 mandolin-banjo they have for sale.

  13. I'll give it to the end of the day then. And then give up my turn to anyone that wants it if someone doesn't get it.
  14. Wrong again, this guy isn't as well known as Hoyt Axton was although he did write some hits. anothr one he wrote was for "The Guess Who".
  15. The answer is (drum roll please) Hoyt Axton. He wrote it in 1963.<p> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0KcLVIldP4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0KcLVIldP4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0KcLVIldP4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

  17. actually the authour did write "SnowBlind Friend" but it's not Kris Kristofferson. Same type of artist (meaning genre) though.
  18. Wonder where, wonder where, wonder where she is bound? I broke her heart and made her cry Now I'm alone, so all alone What can I do, what can I do? .... I wanna know if she loved me Did she really love me? Was she just playing me for a fool? Think late fifties early sixties.
  19. Nope and Nope. I wouldn't classify him as a Blues artist, more progressive Country.
  20. I'll give it a day or so, since it's a new thread.
  21. No the answer I believe was in a different thread. Same Artist and same author. The Artsit and Author are different inthis case but the Artist sang two of the author's songs.
  22. After perusing the different song threads i thought this might be appropriate. Given a song, (obviuosly it has to be a known song) give the author of it. Such as "White Christmas" the answer would be Irving Berlin. Ok first song is "The Pusher"performed by Steppenwolf. It might be best to give the artist that did the song in order to differentiate between songs of identical names.
