  1. Another Dan, Thanks for the recipe on making a real homemade burrito. I live down under in Aussie land and they just don't know the real deal on burritos. Only restaurants that don't cut the mustard on that rich taste only made at home. Here they call pinto beans "Barlotti beans". What the? Everytime I make a batch the skippies (Australians) ask can I have some more. I even make up 15 at a time and give them to this one girl at work. Handling fees apply. Thanks again
  2. Life isn't fair. You guys are enjoying the onslaught of Summer while we are going into Winter. Wet and chilly no freezing.
  3. Niki, Lighten up over there. I just thought we would share an experience I once encountered. DOH!
  4. Niki, When you accidently erased all 247 notes on your phone, was alchohol involved.
  5. NIKI, yes spring has sprung. There is a strong flowering smells in the air. Starting to warm up. I won't be at the barbeque with you and others.
  6. I found I was a # 1 my wife a nine. My wife took a course to learn more up in Queensland Australia and two weeks in San Fransisco, Ca. to teach personality traits. I think it helped me most buy understanding others and why I think as I do. I never like putting myself in a box or anyone else for that matter but I think there is something to it.
  7. To early in the morn for me haven't had brecky yet. I thought you said enneagram meaning personality traits.
  8. Niki, I went to the way corps page and saw that someone had done some photographs of the Anderson library dome. I typed in my name and there was your name on the same picture of signatures. Check it out mate
  9. Niki, It doesn't snow where I am at but funny you should ask. Yesterday Some mates and I went up to the great divide and threw snowballs at each other. There is always snow up there this time of the year.
  10. Some mornings when driving to work I see a license plate that says THEWAY. I have been so curious to ask if it is the same as what we were in. From the rust on the plate it should put it about the 80's
  11. I have never tried this but I heard if you left your keyless remote keys in the car and have your cell phone in your pocket. You can call home and have some one push the remote on your spare remote while holding the cell phone near the car and it will unlock the keyless remote to get inside the car.
  12. Thank you so much Paw and RD. I never knew what was going on during the fallout. Thank you once again.
  13. Niki, Spring hasn't taken a hold of me but fall has. We are getting more rain and cooler days. The trees are changing into autumn colors. How neat is that.
  14. Niki, most aussies can point to the southern cross but most of them are not aware that it rotates 360 degrees in the course of darkness. I learned that by observing the constellation the first month I arrived here.
  15. Niki, when you were in NZ, did you see or observe the star constellation of the southern cross? The only recognizable constellation of stars I see in this southern hemisphere is the Orion belt which lies greatly to the north. Are you a star gazer or are you not knowing or did you notice when you looked at night. I'm curious!
  16. Niki, Can you share more experiences you had according to NIKI enlightenment in New Zealand. My wife and I want to go there on Holiday one day.
  17. Niki, I was over in NZ just last June. It is so green there compared to Australia. And today we had a Maori over today, my wifes best friend. Too bad you couldn't drop in it is only a four hour flight.
  18. I thougtht the blarney stone was a stone that if you kissed you then would have the gift of Gab. My wife kissed it and she is non stop.
  19. Tom, Where can I get a copy of "Are you limiting God part 2". I want to be in the know. I think I could be limiting Gawd.
  20. Niki, I will pray that you do the right thing with your mothers situation. It is important that you support your mom and support yourself and be strong, but be there when you can and be kind to your self when you can't be there.
  21. My favourite is Boil one whole chicken in salt water. Let it cool and pick off all the meat. Save all of the rest of the undesireable meat grizzle and bones for stock for an Acorn Pumkin soup Which if you ask I will give the recipe. one bag of Penna pasta noodles boil until soft. Add one jar of Chicken Alfredo sauce and mix up all ingredients. This dish taste better after setting in the sauce overnight. Enjoy Wait you said you did not want to bake boil or anything else. Just go to KFC.
  22. Food Fight is my middle name Group: Members Posts: 1,319 Joined: 5-August 02 From: Atlanta, GA Member No.: 422 My son and I are doing his math work. We came across a question not fully explained in his lesson. (his lessons are on dvd) Here is the question: An engine head bolt has a specified torque at 40 foot pounds on a 3/4 10 bolt. How much pressure is being exerted by the bolt on the head. Foot pounds was covered in a previous lesson, but not as "torque". So I googled it. "1 foot-pound is the amount of torque created by a force of 1 pound acting at a perpendicular distance of 1 foot from a pivot point. " Now we are trying to figure out about the "one foot perpendicular from a pivot point" Is the one foot the radius or the diameter? I think then we set up the problem like this: pi X diameter X 40 (lbs) then that answer X 10 (the number of threads on the bolt) I have the answer on the data cd sent with the program, but I want my son to see how to do the problem--but I need help myself! LOL! (We CAN call the teacher that made the dvds, too, but we couldn't get through just now) The specified torque is 40 ft/lbs on a 3/4 bolt @ 10 threads per inch. What type of thread is it ? It is negligible but would show he knows threads. If 40 ft/lbs is exerted it should be 40 ft/lbs exerted on the bolt. Being a twenty four year old Jet Engine mechanic and still working with torque wrenches I am curious for the answer.
  23. What has happened to all the 9th Corps on this thread. We need to keep our long distance learning process from our past that we are all a part of to keep going on.This is our thread, Speak on. We are in spring here with all of the colors here of spring. The pollen is overwhelming.
  24. I have no more bitterness as Grouco stated of the Way of how we expended our youth. I don't need the drama and learned as EX 10 to purge our luggage. I left my Samsonite on the dock long ago but keep my carry on. Something I do carry is to never forgot what I was forgiven for, Oh boy. That is a daily if not moment process. It keeps me in check. This keeps me humble as I know if you carry unforgiveness around that I am carrying poison around. I hurt only me. I just can't be bothered! Why people in the Way and now behave is beyond me but I am happy to not be controlled any longer and live my own life and make my own decisios right or wrong. Life is good.
  25. Johnny Lingo I will never forget the time when you came over to my house with some vacummed packed salmon. We had that, crackers, cheese, and some local beer. I bliss on that moment. I remember the flavor 25 years later.
