  1. Hard to say. These days of satellite radio and stations dedicated to all sorts of genres, hard to say anything did not get airplay.

Billboard says it peaked at number 40, which indicates SOME airplay but certainly not ubiquitous dominance (a word combo I am unlikely to write again ever).

It apparently did very well in Dance Clubs in the US as well (number 3. Wow).

    SO anyway, new song:

There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light There were things we'd never do again, but then they'd always seemed right There were nights of endless pleasure; it was more than all your laws allow

You get more civil treatment because although your position is opposite you don’t engage in all the other nonsense deflecting questions personally attacking and asking if someone is God.

I like to think it's because I chilled the F out, but ok.

Please drop it. This is not off topic, but it's so ancillary to the topic as to be irrelevant. I do not see that he questioned a single fact: Merely raised the possibility, which is a fair thing to do for someone who concedes to having all the facts second or third hand (which, I should add, includes the overwhelming majority of people who have posted on this site.

I see no reason to disbelieve anything in the opening post, nor do I see any reason to disallow the possibility that the AI aggregation (assuming there even WAS one) got a fact wrong. It might have. It might not. Obla Di Obla Dah.

  3. For the sake of this post, pretend I am using the modcat profile. I'm too lazy to switch over.

Rocky, Chockfull, you've spent two pages and heaven knows how many hours arguing over literally nothing. Nothing. You don't disagree on the basics. You're arguing over the potential for inaccuracy in AI?

    Are you serious?

We agree on the original post and its application to TWI. But because AI is not a perfect technology, we're going to waste pixels and emotional energy?

I think you guys worship a non-existent God and you (not you, being generic here) lie to yourselves about His alleged intervention in your life, and you are nicer to ME than you are to each other about this non-issue. PLEASE. Find something fun to argue about. Like Speaking Hypothetically In Tongues.

    Basta.

  4. Here's a sng that SHOULD have won the Oscar for Best Original Song but was beaten by one that did not even deserve to be nominated.

I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars.

'Run away,' they say, 'No one will love you as you are.'

But I won't let them break me down to dust.

I know that there's a place for us.

    For we are glorious.

  5. Times have changed. Our kids are getting worse. They won't obey their parents. They just want to fart and curse.

Should we blame the government or blame society? Or should we blame the images on TV?

    No!

    Blame Canada!

  6. "You're not gonna fall for the banana in the tailpipe? It should be more natural, brother. It should flow out, like this - 'Look, man, I ain't fallin' for no banana in my tailpipe!' See, that's more natural for us. You been hanging out with this dude too long."

In 1985, a rising star actress was in a commercial where she ended a sentence with a word that had never been used on television before ... at least, not to refer to the thing she was talking about. The word had certainly been used before to mean other things. What's the word? I'll add the actress in a later clue, but the fact that it was an actress at all is in itself a clue.

    Most Subtle Clue Ever.

    You're up.

  8. Hints:

I've already actually given away the answer with my Most Subtle Hint Ever (TM). So subtle, Mike would not be able to find it in a lost Wierwille teaching. But the answer appears five times in this post, if you catch my meaning.

The fact that it's an actress and not an actor is far more relevant than the precise clue that it's Courtney Cox. In fact, that should be enough [without her name] to narrow it down to two or three words.
