So I grew up in the Way. When people ask me if I grew up in church, I don't know what to say. When I first got out, I was in my twenties and I would tell people I grew up in a cult and we'd kind of laugh about it. But now that I'm in my mid-thirties, I don't get the same reaction. Do you tell people about your involvement in the Way? And, if so, what sort of reactions do you get?

LOL yes, I knew he was not a real dr. It's strange that both of these men were able to convince thousands of people that they were a father figure and then use their power to take advantage of young women. AND they got away with it for so long. So many people refuse to believe it. I was so shocked to learn the truth about both of them. I was a Way kid who grew up watching Cosby-- nothing will surprise me after this...

Everything I've been reading about Bill Cosby and his womanizing really reminds me of VP. Wasn't the dr accused of drugging and molesting young women? And it seems like it was around the same time-- 1970's? I'm surprised no one else has brought this up.
