There once was a man named Pawtucket

He left the Way and said "f*#k-it"

He opened Greasespot Cafe

Where to this day

He serves us all coffee by the bucket.

:biglaugh:

Now, some of us here are now Texans

And one of us is the lovely Ex10

She has a nook

Dooj and Tom are gonna' cook

Y'all are welcome to come eat all the fixin's

Cheesecake is a whole other matter

Rummy thinks there's cheddar in the batter

Dooj wants to die

What's wrong with this guy?

This contest will make us all fatter.

So come down and join us for fun

Don't worry - It hasn't begun

Nov 4 is the day

We'll all meet to play

We're sure to hug and kiss when its done.

:wave::wave::wave:

Now, what we need is an exact show of hands

Make sure you put down those beer cans!

Tell us if you're comin'

Don't sit there a-hummin'

Y'all! - We need to make plans!

Our TX BBQ will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4th at my house. We want to make it comfortable for people to just come over as they arrive in town. So starting at noon on Saturday, we'll put out munchies and a light lunch for whoever is around, and at 6:00 Saturday night, we will serve our BBQ.

Then on Sunday morning, we'll do a brunch at 11:00 for anybody who spent the night in town.

For all you who need directions to my house, email me at jolise126@yahoo.com.

I also have a list of hotels in The Woodlands that I can email you.

If you are flying in, please make sure you fly into Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. If you need a ride from the airport, let me know and we will see what can be worked out. (The other Houston airport, Hobby, is far from my house, so if you land there, you are on your own.)

Pack a swim suit if you want to get in the hot tub. Hear that, Dmiller?

And thanks guys for all the offers to help and bring stuff and all that. We didn't want this whole thing to be a burden for one person, and you guys have made it so easy to plan.

Dooj is keeping a list of who's bringing what. Right Dooj?

If there's anything else I didn't think of, let me know. Can't wait, can't wait, til the Big Day. We'll have blast.

Ok folks - setting the wars aside..

we need;

Potato salad ( George St George said his wifey would bring some

Cole slaw

Chips!

Hot sauce and that velveeta mixture

Rolls

condiments and rolls

tea, beer, cokes (That's Texan for pop, soda, fizzy water)

whatever else you want to eat.

Now for breakfast next day:

I'm willing to make homemade whole wheat panckes with blueberries for a crowd - let me know

Lots of coffee!

orange juice

whatever else you all want.

I need everyone to also post what they are bringing so that we know what is coming. You can PM me or post here.

And now - for the most important part....

RumRunner is such a strange dude,

He wants to call his cheesecake food.

But the cheese is bleu

and the faces are too

Once they taste the conconction he brewed.

No way Johnny gets immunity! Moose steak is just fine if it's marinated right. I'm coming in from Santiago Chile so I will bring some red wine and fruit (if I can get the fruit through customs and immigration).

Groucho seems to have Rummy's number

He knows you simply can't slumber

When making cheesecake

Its the Cake that you bake

That all of the folks will re-mumber

OK seriously folks - Jonny if you are coming you need to give a serious response to Ex10

DO NOT EAT RUMRUNNER'S CHEESECAKE!

You'll die.......and not in a good way.

There once was this guy from Alaska,

who went to his wife and then asked her;

"Is there Texas Barbecue in this here Big State?

Or should we get down to Texas much faster?"

And with a sad smile, she said there's "no way".

There is none, there isn't any, no how.

'Cause it's only them Texans who do it up right.

And to get ourselves down there'll cost us a leg!

An that new truck'll have to wait till next year!

And so I knew in my heart (right from the start),

that my desire to go wouldn't happen.

But with the "want to" so strong, I strung 'em along,

but now I hafta tell 'em the truth.

We won't be on down, fly South like the Goose,

But instead we'll be here eatin' Moose!

There was a guy named Jonny, Jonny Lingo.

Who lied to his friends, by jingo!

He said he'd "be down", but was foolin around,

And now he's just listenin' to Ringo...

Pretty lame, huh? But at least it was more of a true limerick...

I know some naughty ones....

There was a "do it your selfer" named Alice, who used a dynamite stick for a....

And,

There once was a man from Nantucket....

Psalm seventy-one's flying piggy

Seeing "limerick" started dancing a jiggy

But Alack and Alas!

The pig flew away fast

For there on the grill was cousin Siggie

:dance::dance:

Psalmie wishes she could attend

so another limerick she penned

the cheesecake fight

would be such a delight

'gainst flying pies you'd have to defend!

(then I'd be in BIG TROUBLE!! :biglaugh::biglaugh: )

There once was a fellow named Jerry

Whose lovely wife Deb was quite wary

Of word studies in Greek with a room full of geeks

But EX10 said 'just come and be merry'.

So he promised longsuffering Deborah

That the shindig would be far from a bor-e

With munchies and jokes with the kind of great folks,

We'd enjoyed for many years before-e

Deb and I will be bringing chips, dip, salsa, and a bucket of beef brisket from Cackle & Oink bbq in Sherman. (Tasty stuff)
