vpw? Superman? Green Lantern?

Steve: It's "offense", unless you're British, and no, none taken of either spelling.

Old habits die hard, I guess. It might be easier to build VPW as a Mutants & Masterminds™ character instead of with the Hero System...

Thanks Word Wolf

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention

that song....

It's always a good one to remember just in case

you're going to be on Jeopardy.

Zix, Steve, if I ever get the time, I may start

sketching out rules for that RPG you mentioned.

However, I'd almost certainly use White Wolf's

Storyteller system, since it's accessible, and

people can read and understand it within the

first 1/2 hour. I just need a catchy name in

the "Noun:the Adjective" format.

VPW couldn't have done it with Green Lantern's ring, since it was more of a physical effect (although with 40 APs of Comprehend Languages, it might have been good for the occasional SIT scam.)

He could have easily done it with a Lens, but there's no way the Arisians would have let him within 100 parsecs of their planet. He would have been branded an agent of Boskone faster than Kinnison could say "zwilnik", and the Galactic Patrol would have pulled 3,000 ships off the line to starkly obliterate New Knoxville in a manner that could only be described as indescribable.

Even though he was supposedly "given an overdose of brains and brawn" such that "the earth shook wherever he walked" he wasn't all that formidable a supervillain. Most of the weaker X-Men (with the sillier powers) could have beaten him stupid with one hand tied behind their backs.

Even Daredevil could have "seen" what a paper tiger he was... icon_wink.gif;)-->

That explains the way Y2K was prepared for. I remember the HFC telling us that he would be sitting on his porch, with the lights off in his house, with a gun in case someone was going to start looting (nevermind that he was not in downtown or close enough to stores that he would be a target.)

He wouldn't even have made a good gadgeteer (a la Batman) because apparently he couldn't keep his utility belt on for more than ten minutes at a time... icon_wink.gif;)-->

VPW was Magneto

My vote is for Magneto. Coincidental similarities? True for each (from the X-men movies):

1. Good guy turned by weird childhood experiences (Local german minister bans dance hall vs. parents taken by Nazis)

2. Draws objects of his desire to him with strange powers

3. Wore weird hat at times

4. Wore even weirder clothing

4. Hangs out with VERY strange characters

5. Opposed by many others, some of whom are a bit odd themselves

6. Had his own aircraft

7. Had his own vision for the world

8. Weakness came in the form of a woman

Could I make it any simpler?! ;-)

I guess that leaves Martindale as The Intolerable Bulk, then.

--Crackpot theories got him in trouble.

--The madder he gets, the stupider he gets.

--Only solution is to bash everything in sight.

"Bulk smash!"

Which X-man are you?

Below is a link I just found to a quiz which determines which one you are:

http://quizilla.com/users/tedelton/quizzes...most%20like%3F/

This is classic! (IMO) The answers I put in for LCM were:

1. My sex appeal

2. My temper

3. Muhammad Ali (Did he know who Steven Hawkings was?)

4. Sex

5. Flirting

6. The Fast and the Furious

7. Make myself more athletic

So who was LCM? Wolverine! Here's their description:

"You are Wolverine! A loner by nature, you feel uncomfortable when around those you don't know and even those you do. You are awkward when it comes to relationships, but fiercely loyal to those you love."

I got Professor X:

You are Professor X!

You are a very effective teacher, and you are very

committed to those who learn from you. You put

your all into everything you do, to some extent

because you fear failure more than anything

else. You are always seeking self-improvement,

even in areas where there is nothing you can do

to improve.

Which X-Men character are you most like?

brought to you by Quizilla

Hmm...here's a blow to his ego. Changing Ali to Shakespeare had this affect:

You are Rogue! You are sexy and strong willed, and able to take on just about anyone. You long for a serious relationship, but whenever you begin to get close to someone things always seem to take turns for the worse. But you have dealt with this lack of closeness with an almost constant flirtacious behavior.

Hey Zix, I think you're onto something!
