I didn't do the parody, T-Bone. I'm just posting it for an anonymous comedic genius.

In keeping with the spirit of this thread and in honor of a certain plagiaristic dynasty – it's okay with me if you want to claim you had the original revelation for the parody on the Athletes of the Spirit video. :biglaugh:

And if it ever gets taken down from YouTube... I ripped it to my hard drive in FLV format. We'll ALWAYS have evidence here at Greasespot about that awful production.

sudo (who really enjoyed the parody)

Is there some way you can share this (as it did get taken down)?

It is still on the main page here at GreaseSpot.

No, the DEAD LINK is still on the main page here at GreaseSpot.

The thing that was here was always a hotlink to the YouTube page.

When the YouTube video left, the hotlink just became cosmetic.

(Click it and see. I just did to confirm this.)

True. That link has been "dead" for quite some time. Fox had it pulled, due to copyright infringements.

I thought satire was protected under fair use? what infringement did Fox claim, I wonder?

Satire IS protected under fair use.

twi, as usual, rattled their sabers and bluffed. YouTube rolled over.

I think it may have to do with the fact that the song was lifted right from the soundtrack of Rocky Horror and just combined with the visuals. I seem to remember hearing that a new recording in which the song was parodied constitutes satire, but not just combining the same song with different visuals. (I could be wrong.) Besides, the msg says it was pulled by Fox, not by TWI.
