Ya know? It turned out pretty cool though.

I actually went home and made a list and dated all the single women in the area in the following months.

We had a lot of fun. It was Vegas.

About half of them were from my own mom's generation.

I only went as far as making out with one of them.

So, as far as I know, I pretty much failed in my "mission."

Almost all of those women have left vp's ministry.

Who knows, maybe I succeeded somehow after all?

Now, consider VPW's admonition that it was the unbelieving women who TWI-men were to slake their lusts upon, and you see that LCM must have been just an incredibly greedy bastard. So, men can sleep with unbelievers to get their rocks off, and have to take care of the Holy Sexual Needs™ of the believer women, while the TWI-women could only go to the TWI-men. Huh? "Eternal vagina fix", indeed.

To recap:

TWI-men can only sleep with two categories of women:

1) those who are unbelievers.

2) those who are believers.

(For purposes of argument, all those women who are uncertain or agnostics count in category 1.)

TWI-women:

Bend over and take it with a smile, but only from an Offical TWI-Man.

Hope that clears up any confusion. Thank you.

The implication of your post, if I'm reading it right, is "Hey, Naomi got over it, so why can't everyone else?" Easy: Everyone else isn't Naomi Judd. Each of us has his/her own strengths, weaknesses, resources, pasts, challenges, ad infinitum.

Linda Z, I still think victim mentality can be overcome, if someone who engages in it desires to overcome it. That's a big point of her book and why she's overcome. That's my vote, anyway.

Oh Wow Abby, He was TOLD to *Use the word* to control you*!!!

OMG is that not what the WHOLE friggin twi experience was about????

That was the only way that they could get many of us to act that way....shoot, leader was to use the word....we were required (men and women) to submit.....no matter how awfull, dangerous, or stupid we knew the actions to be...we were required to submit if we wanted remain within the will of God.

We all knew that living outside of the will of God meant destruction and death for us and our family members...

freedom of will my a--

They had it all down to a fine science.

Geeze even if your husband WANTED to be decent and resonable...he had little choice...How horrible for both of you.
