In order to copy over music files to said destination (Ie., the IPhone), ..... they have to be in the correct original folder from whence you're copying them from, ... and not somewhere else.
And ITunes won't tell you that. It just acts like nothing's happening, thus giving the impression that the music just can't be copied over.
((sigh)) Oh well. File it under the Insignificant Yet Irritating Things one Deals with when Working with Computers Category.
