I put down "joined" twi. That could mean different things to different people.

"first fellowship"

"took the class"

"got in the word"

they may have been a period of time that people were going to fellowship once in a blue moon, but later got more involved.

each individual can decide what it means to them.

Sorry, Mr. B.

I didn't see the poll at the top.

I got "witnessed to", spoke in tongues, spoke in tongues and interpreted, prophesied, had what I would call a revelation type experience, and started the PFAL class all within the span of two weeks. Within two months, they made me a twig leader, mainly because I had a job, a car and an apartment of my own, where we could hold twig meetings.. Then, within another couple years, I took every class offered, including the AC, functioned as twig area coordinator, class instructor, chair stringer, coffee modification expert, duct tape master mechanic, and "flunky-on-call". It was a busy two or three years. Then, I moved to another part of the state to oversee things and run classes before going into Fellow Laborers.

edit: "Date and Switch" got me to my first twig meeting and into the class. :(

I was thinking "followed pretty girl" was similar to following a spouse. Probably should have been separate.

"Date and switch" should have been and option too, but I thought that was following someone too.

following a friend, testing the water for someone else and getting sucked in anyway,

they all seem to be variations of making the choice yourself or being tied to another.

with drinking, well, if you choose to drink too much, you choose the consequences?

Now, if you were drugged, or someone put a sack over your head and locked you in a room with a tv, vcr, and pfal, there's something . . . :biglaugh:

  • 2 weeks later...

according to "The Teacher" booklet:

1968:

Dr. Wierwille first visits the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco (January 29); young people start to get involved in the ministry

he was doing PFAL in '53,

dead alive now in '67

the 1950's are kinda perplexing, some of the 60's
