OMG I thought the sam4e thing and wondered if he (yes i think it was a guy) was still drunk and could not feel it as he was obviously posing for a picture immediately after the explosion.

Yes, back in the mid 90s, pictures were becoming more distant. Less ability to see faces, just crowd shots.
