It's a mistake doing anything that boasts the "law of believing" as a *requirement.

maybe friend. You haven't acquired the taste for this, yet..

:biglaugh:

sorry, I'm a scientist. Other words, I was sent to observe.. but I can't help but to get involved here.. call it a curse. I'm still back in the lab in the 5th grade, trying to figure it all out..

:biglaugh:

the key here. Is to look the vomit, right in the face, and still be at peace..

You have to do that if you have very, very young children.. sometimes older ones, like too much inebriated Squirrels..

:biglaugh:

a super-duper overcoat helps here..

Ah, c'mon, O.B. Just trying to inject a little humor into an otherwise quite serious topic. Do I put much stock in the survey numbers? Nah, I'm more interested in hearing the actual first hand accounts.

sowy.

The first time it happens, you might say "yuck".

then there is the desensitization..

hey!

I've gone through the same thing, with music..

"nothing is true, and nothing's right.."

let's see if you can document the quote..

have a face I cannot show.. make up the rules as I go..

all that is worse than any complaints I've heard about da way..

what has love made of you..

Metaphorically.. the hitch-hiker's path is through this life.. maybe.

what is it.. that what you really are, to begin with..

that's the question that got me into "trouble" once..

I'm going to soak up the sun..

then read the next verse.

My favorite mistake..

weird, huh..

6 am, and I'm alone..

very, very interesting..

Maybe nothing lasts forever.. even when you stay together..

very interesting..

I like song number five on the greatest hits best, I think.. jump in, let's go..

why do I feel like a stranger, in my own life..

I've always wondered if the things I've seen.. are really happening..

yeah, she's consumed some lsd, at least once.

:biglaugh:

Yeah, she is a cool old lady. Respectively spoken, of course.

Well.. maybe it isn't a prize she wants to collect. She is almost as cool as Shirley McClaine.

:biglaugh:

pretty damned close..

A person I could identify with, and understand.. their age would be about the average of these two..

Let's see - hitchhiked a number of times as a WOW because I didn't have a car. Only one semi-creepy driver (some sort of clergy - why am I not surprised?).

Hitched with another person from Baltimore to Emporia for the Advanced Class 1978. Our ride out there had suddenly cancelled, and my car would not have made it out there. Left Thursday night and got there either Saturday or Sunday morning (can't remember which anymore). Pretty much got back-to-back rides with fairly nice (and sometimes colorful) people. Ironically (or maybe not so much), I was more blessed by the hitching out and the person with whom I was hitching than the stuff I was exposed to in the Advanced Class.

Wish there was option for more than one response. I've had multiple bad experiences from hitch hiking, but then also a couple of notable ones where I was witnessed to. One great conversation I had, after taking pfal, was with a guy and we were both discussing our "Great Boss" and we were both discussing the Lord Jesus. That was really nice.

quote: A learning expierience?.....Learn more than you will in Genesis?Well at least Genesis won't kill you.

VP actually said you'd learn more hitching that you would by reading Genesis? Interesting that the book of Genesis has several sex scandals in it. Or was he talking about the band Genesis?

my favorite hitching times.

my destination was Bluefield WV. from some place near to Princeton.

It was a rather long route.

I'm standing on route.. whatever it was.

Tht school van/bus passed.

then I got ride about seven or so miles..

I am standing at the road. The bus passes again.. no problem for the bus. It goes on its way..

so I get a ride for about 7 miles or so.

then.. the bus. and I converge at the third spot..

the driver.. is awe-stricken.

"are you Jesus?"

:biglaugh:

I would have said, "No, I'm Ham!"
