We had a "way" cool minister. (Little humor, he was NOT from TWI) who also took most of the pictures.

The Preacher was a faith filled believer and the woman in the gray pantsuit had been ill. I told him she needed prayer. I thought he would pray later at his home or something. Before anything started, he walked over and prayed for her and she had a healing! God is wonderful!

Congratulations.

My mom was widowed at 53. Over the first 10 years she got 2 proposals, but turned them down. Didn't see the point in it. She lived out her life being a widow almost as long as she had been a wife. Never seemed to regret not marrying again.

I can't picture myself getting married again if Jean and I divorce or if she dies before I do. I think it is definitely a 'life victory' for 2 people to connect like you 2 have at your ages. Bravo. I too wish you the absolute best.

Thanks Hap...I recognized you also from your photos...it's funny how some memories are always accessible...

I've seen a lot of people come and go from the Greasespot Cafe...my best wishes to all of you reading this and all who are gone from the Cafe...

...and isn't it ironic that Dot Matrix and GrouchoMarxjr hook up?...who'd a thunk?

Congrats. Cool to hear of two souls finally united in love. Nothing finer. smile.gif

Here's a "Musical Trilogy Tribute" to the two of you, Dot and Groucho .

The band is The New Grass Revival. The banjo picker was one of RumRunner's favorites.

I'm thinking RumRunner would probably approve of this succession of songs, in your honor.

There will never EVER be a band as good as The New Grass Revival. Their acoustic talent reigns supreme.

They done a "multiplicity" (Gee - - where have I heard THAT word before) blink.gif of songs, and these 3 stuck out.

I hope you enjoy them. Given the order they're posted, I'm guessing they tell "your story" from start to finish.

Happy trails to the both of you, and here's hoping there's many years ahead in your future.

David

(edited to add - - ) These days I think in terms of wires and wood and lyrics.

Seems like the songs already written can say things better than I. cool.gif

A friend of mine (Bob Lucas) from southern Indiana wrote that last song (When the Storm is Over).

It was an immediate hit when NGR recorded it. It's one of my favorite tunes.

Here's hoping "The Storm Is Over" for you two. spy.gif
