TV Show Mash-Up

Now I'm really confused, since Anne Hathaway was a baby in the eighties.

George

Sorry, I guess that wasn't quite as clear as I thought it was.

There's two different clues:

The first was just to give a time frame - the 80's.

And the two images are a pictionary clue.

Jill, Kelly, Sabrina, Kris, Tiffany, and Julie

George

I never actually saw the show at the time.

However, I've heard some of the names of Chuck's team.

In commercials for the toys, if nothing else.

"Charlie's Angels"?

(The commercial I heard named "Sabrina, Kelly and Kris.")

It was, in fact, "Charlie's Angels." WW is up for the next "Mash-Up," but I have two "extra credit" questions? Can you name the actresses for each of those characters; and, which one was an "Angel" for the whole run of the show?

It looked like he was pointing that at me, although I'm probably misinterpreting him.

I know Farrah Fawcett was there, and I think Cheryl Tiegs and Kate Smith

were there, and that's all I've got.

For someone who never watched the show, and who heard what he did hear was decades ago,

I think that's pretty good.

Next round.

There were two television shows that featured a "Richard Hatch" on them.

(Not character names, those were the real people.)

Name either television show.

(For bragging rights, name both and who each Richard Hatch was in there.)

My "extra credit" questions were open to all, though I got a chuckle out of WW's response. Kate Smith?

Let's leave it open. I'll give the answers in a couple of days, if necessary.

As for WW's question, Richard Hatch played "Apollo" in the original Battlestar Galactica. In the newer version, he played (featured role, not a star) someone on the Council (or Congress, or whatever it was frackin' called); he ran for President.

That's two shows (with the same name). If he starred in anything else, I don't remember it.

I suppose I'll have to look that up- from your response, "Kate Smith" was incorrect.

I always thought that was the name. Some woman who plays football and sings

"God Bless America" or something.

One Richard Hatch was "Apollo" in the original "Battlestar Galactica."

(He also was in some soap opera.) I didn't know he was in the newer show

with all the weird felgercarb going on.

A DIFFERENT Richard Hatch was the winner of season one of "Survivor."

I had to see them show his face so I could confirm it wasn't the other one.

I don't see a reference to it, but I remember "Apollo" Richard Hatch, years

ago, on TV saying he was trying to pitch further stories based on the

Battlestar:Pegasus spinning off the original series. I liked the idea but

they never approved it.

You conflated Kate Jackson ("Sabrina") and Jaclyn Smith ("Kelly"). Kate Smith, was, of course, the singer famous for "God Bless America." Not exactly the "Angel" type:

I guess I got ONE of your Richard Hatches. I wouldn't have thought of the "Survivor" guy, but I do remember him, now that you mention him. Is it my turn?

Right. As a kid, and pretty unfamiliar with "The Honeymooners," it never occurred to me that "The Flintsones" was a rip-off. It wasn't until years later, when I read a Jackie Gleason interview in Playboy, where he pointed it out, that I saw the similarity. Gleason said it was OK, though: Alan Reed ("Fred") occasionally even "looped" for Gleason on "The Honeymooners."

While I've got the floor, I might as well answer the rest of my "Charlie's Angels" questions:

Jill Munroe = Farrah Fawcett

Kelly Garrett = Jaclyn Smith*

Sabrina Duncan = Kate Jackson

Kris Munroe = Cheryl Ladd (not Tiegs!)

Tiffany Welles = Shelley Hack

Julie Rogers = Tanya Roberts

*the only "Angel" for the whole run

This is a show that ran on a major network for nine years (when there were only 3 major networks). It spawned at least one instantly recognizable catchphrase. I refuse to believe I'm the only one here who ever watched it.
