Googling "The Way International"

Hi! I really am Steve Lortz!

I post under my real name!

The things I have posted here are true to the best of my knowledge.

Martindale propositioned a woman I personally knew. I heard it from her own lips. That's what turned me away from TWI in 1987. I knew then that Martindale was a lying predator. As time went on, I realized Martindale had been trained to become a lying predator by a lying predator, V.P. Wierwille.

As I did actual RESEARCH into the things I had been taught in PFAL, I came to realize that the material in that class was a plagiarized pastiche of the odd "private" interpretations of Wierwille. There were a few truths that slipped through Wierwille's sieve and made it into the class, but it wasn't because Wierwille knew how to separate truth from error. It was because Wierwille himself was NOT able to separate truth from error.

The Way International DOES NOT HAVE the greatest package of truth about the Word of God since the first century. The Corps training DOES NOT TEACH an in-depth spiritual perception and awareness. It deadens a person's ability to hear the Spirit of God by forcing her or him to listen to the creepy voice of a fleshly organization. There are numberless Christians walking by the Spirit in EVERY denomination that acknowledges that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. The Way International is no longer holding forth the Word of Life, rather it is hoarding the believers' ABS so the elite can live high on the interest it draws.

When you leave The Way International, you do not become a greasespot by midnight, but you can discover that God and Jesus have loved you all along, and have provided for you beforehand, even for your act of leaving!

Love,

Steve

Even if we posted under our commonly-used names, what difference would that make? Most people wouldn't know most of us. Just a few would be known - Old Skool, Skyrider, maybe; DWBH definitely. You, Penworks, have declared your real name enough times - as have others.

All that posting under a real or commonly-used name would achieve is to give TWI more scope to dig around and slander the person posting. Blacken their name. Nothing they say can be trusted. Listening to devil spirits. Spiritually suspect. ... Damn the messenger - maybe no-one will listen to the message.

Any innies who want to "listen" will hear the ring of truth as they read the boards here in fascinated horror.

I had to answer that question for myself back when I walked away from TWI. I decided that, for myself, I needed to witness AGAINST The Way International, with just as much vigor and integrity as I had previously witnessed FOR the organization.

To "witness" means simply to speak the things that we have seen and heard. Why does that matter to me?

My Pop was a newspaperman. He had a plaque on the wall of his office that read "It's a newspaper's job to print the truth and raise hell!" There was a time when I was a kid, sitting in that office, when I heard people come in and threaten to fire bomb our house if Pop printed a story they didn't like. Pop stood up and said "You go ahead and do that! Every person in this room heard what you just said. When my house burns down, YOU'RE gonna be the FIRST people the cops come after!" And he printed the story.

I thought, "Wow, Pop must think the truth is a valuable thing!"

Speaking the truth matters, whether or not anybody ever believes it.

Love,

Steve

Yeah.....twi was NOT interested in our reasonings for exiting. All of the trustees knew us quite well from 20+ years of involvement...Craig, Don, Howard, Donna, Wanda, Emogene, Mrs. W, Rhoda, Dorothy, Rosalie. Not one of them phoned or emailed us.

The two region guys who came to our city called several meetings.....and, from what we later heard, were DIGGING FOR DIRT on anything that they could find on us to discredit and slander us. They found NOTHING. They had to resort to saying that "we wanted to follow worldly things and not the word any longer." Sheeeeesh......how lame is that? Just made-up stuff to spiritualize a reason, it seemed.

The TRUE COLORS of twi came clearly into focus from that moment on. Twi was a cult.

It was like.....we connected the dots and they knew it.

They were the ones that had the blackened, deceptive hearts.

The scales fell from our eyes......and we saw "humpty-dumpty" fall to the ground.

All of twi's "horses" and all the "corps" men....couldn't put "humpty" back together again.

Because.....humpty was just a cult.

I was at a branch meeting on the left coast where the young BL declared that if someone left the Household of The Way, "at that very moment the spirit within you dies, and shortly thereafter, your physical body shall die also, because it is impossible to exist outside the Household of Faith." Scared the daylights out of me. This guy worshiped LCM and may well have practiced in front of a mirror and with a tape recorder to be able to accurately mimic his mannerisms and speech patterns. For years I was convinced that if anyone on WayDale or here found out my identity, either the devil or one of LCM's minions would hunt us down and kill us or at least do some kind of harm, slander, whatever.

A few here figured it out anyway, and that's fine, but I don't want my name or my family's names all over the place even now, even knowing that TWI is so impotent an IV infusion of Viagra wouldn't wake them up.

  • 4 months later...

and have you noticed that the "Family Table" is now closed...........because of lack of activity for 3 years. LOL :doh: :P

They banned all posts from people not currently twi members.

Presuming there's anyone IN twi who want to post,

all people who DO post have all their posts SCRUTINIZED by twi staff.

Any wonder why there's lack of activity?

Maybe its just me.....but I get amused when I google the way international and before I finish typing out "international" the drop-down box shows the way international cult. Yep, CULT. The internet raises the red flag for anyone who might have just gotten witnessed to and goes home to google it to learn more.

Then, the first page has a link to wikipedia.....that gives a basic synopsis of twi, with controversial issues and cult allegations and splinter groups. Another link goes to Dr. John Juedes site. Another link goes to "The Cult That Snapped" by Karl Kahler. Another link of The 'Closing' of The Way International by John P. Juedes. Another link to Letter from John Lynn. And, a couple of other links.

GreaseSpot Cafe show up on page 2.

My, oh my.....the super highway of information is at one's fingertips. Twi can no longer hide in obscurity. Sure, they'll still target the wanderers, outcasts, dissatisfied, searching,......but the internet SHOUTS FROM THE ROOFTOPS that twi ain't good. Long gone are the days of those early '70s when I was pitched with its "biblical research." One doesn't need to rush home from work, drive a distance to a class session 4X a week, getting home around 10:50pm each time......just to learn some bible. Those days are LONG GONE.

The world wide web.......its a beauuuutiful thang! :)

Sky, I think if I had know 40 years ago, the true nature of TWI, I never would have gotten involved with it.
