Attachment Question

Zixar may be on the right track with OE Express but maybe it is the other way around which is what I think he means. To expand on his solution, in Outlook Express go to Tools / Options Then click the tab called Security.

There is an option that says " Do not allow attachments to be saved or OPENED that could potentially be a virus."

Microsoft added this in desperation when they were getting slammed for being weak on virus protection a while back. But I believe it caused more problems than it solved as your post may indicate.

Is this "feature" checked on your computer? If it is, then uncheck it and Apply that change and your problem may be solved.

But make sure you have virus protection that scans your incoming email to see if those attachemts contain a virus. I recommend Norton Antivirus 2003 or 2004.

Let us know what happens, OK?
