IRead Posted July 18, 2002 Share Posted July 18, 2002 Al, You are right. The Rookie is a way good film. You definitely care about what happens to Dennis Quaid, even though it may be predictable. You can practically feel the dust and heat of the west in some of those scenes. And the bit on the grass in the ballfield had me and the wife poking each other in remembrance.
