"Got in a little hometown jam
So they put a rifle in my hand.
Sent me off to a foreign land
To go and kill the yellow man."

"Come back home to the refinery.
Hiring man says, "Son if it was up to me"
Went down to see my V.A. man.
He said "Son, don't you understand?""

"I had a brother at Khe Sanh,  fighting off the Viet Cong.
They're still there, he's all gone.

He had a woman he loved in Saigon.
I got a picture of him in her arms now.

Down in the shadow of the penitentiary,
Out by the gas fires of the refinery.
I'm ten years burning down the road.
Nowhere to run ain't got nowhere to go."

"Born down in a dead man's town".
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground.
You end up like a dog that's been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up."

I'll leave this up for a few more hours, and see if anybody's going to actually make a guess- wild or otherwise-  on the titles of any of those songs;.  You already know the artist, so there should at least be one or possibly 2 wild guesses, which would hit 2 of the songs I used.

now these.  "Walk This Way"   ~Aerosmith~.  Just kidding.  Shouldn't George get credit here for pointing out the artist from this song ~Bruce Springsteen~?  He had them first, and I got the song, "Born to Run" former, and "Born in the USA" latter?

George got verbal acknowledgement of guessing the artist.   You correctly named TWO of the songs.   So, it is your turn.

"Crazy Janey and her mission man
Were back in the alley tradin' hands.
'Long came Wild Billy with his friend G-Man
All duded up for Saturday night.    Well, Billy slammed on his coaster brakes
And said, "Anybody wanna go on up to Greasy Lake?
It's about a mile down on the dark side of Route 88
I got a bottle of rosé so let's try it."

This was "SPIRITS IN THE NIGHT."

"Now, I know your mama, she don't like me, 'cause I play in a rock and roll band.
And I know your daddy, he don't dig me, but he never did understand.
Your papa lowered the boom, he locked you in your room-- I'm comin' to lend a hand.
I'm comin' to liberate you, confiscate you, I want to be your man.
Someday we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny.
But now you're sad, your mama's mad
And your papa says he knows that I don't have any money
Your papa says he knows that I don't have any money
Oh, your daddy says he knows that I don't have any money.
Well, tell him this is his last chance to get his daughter in a fine romance-
'Cause a record company, Rosie, just gave me a big advance!"

"ROSALITA'".   Clarence Clemons has a great saxophone solo towards the end.

"In the day we sweat it out on the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines

Sprung from cages out on Highway 9
Chrome-wheeled, fuel-injected, and steppin' out over the line
Oh, baby, this town rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap

We gotta get out while we're young."

"Wendy, let me in, I wanna be your friend
I wanna guard your dreams and visions.
Just wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims
And strap your hands 'cross my engines.

Together we could break this trap
We'll run 'til we drop, baby, we'll never go back.
Oh, will you walk with me out on the wire?
'Cause, baby, I'm just a scared and lonely rider

But I gotta know how it feels.
I wanna know if love is wild
Babe, I want to know if love is real."

"Beyond the Palace, hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard.
Girls comb their hair in rear-view mirrors, and the boys try to look so hard.
The amusement park rises bold and stark, kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you, Wendy, on the streets tonight in an everlasting kiss."

"The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last-chance power drive.
Everybody's out on the run tonight, but there's no place left to hide.

Together, Wendy, we can live with the sadness
I'll love you with all the madness in my soul.
Oh, someday, girl, I don't know when
We're gonna get to that place where we really wanna go

And we'll walk in the sun
But 'til then tramps like us"

Human correctly identified this as "BORN TO RUN."

Oh yeah, its my turn.  I totally spaced this.

Hey, hey mama, said the way you move
Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove
Uh uh child, way you shake that thing
Gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting
Hey, hey, baby, when you walk that way
Got a flaming heart, can't stay away

Next song.

" keep your dirty feelings
Deep inside. And if you're
Takin' your girlfriend
Out tonight
You better park the car
Well out of sight
'Cause if they catch you in the back seat
Trying to pick her locks
They're gonna send you back to mother
In a cardboard box."

"You better make your face up in
Your favourite disguise,
With your button down lips and your
Roller blind eyes
With your empty smile
And your hungry heart.
Feel the bile rising from your guilty past
With your nerves in tatters
As the cockleshell shatters
And the hammers batter
Down your door."
