Just about everything one finds enshrined on a plaque and hanging above ones sink is very helpful in a context where that "pious platitude" is the answer to one's problem.

That is why it got enshrined.

However even John 3:16 becomes rather useless as it becomes just ink on paper or air exhaled over vocal cords.

And the Way never did corner the market on that activity.

I was eight years old.

I too saw Ruby shoot Oswald.

However the whole thing was eclipsed by the death of my mother who had been battling cancer for five years.

I didn't think about the event emotionally. I only thought about it as history and thought about the man according to his deeds. His deeds don't impress me.

He played chicken with the soviets over the missle crisis and won, but he escalated our involvement in Vietnam from advisor to player and after training, arming and supporting the patriots who tryed to regain freedom for Cuba he pulled all their support after they were engaged in combat at the bay of pigs.

And after his death, men used it as an excuse to pass the '1968 Gun Control Act'; one of the most opressive pieces of legislation I can think of.

He did get men on the moon though. Quite an acomplishment.

Once he was of Oxnard and then they moed north.

He was a great believer adn is now awaiting the return.

No illness, no accident, he just peacefully passed from age.

I loved that man

He's the only man I ever heard sing n tongues and interpret, he let me marry my wife in his home, he made available the room where my PFAL class was run, and his love for God, his wife, and family was an example to me all my life.

I wish I had been able to follow it better.

She needs to see some answers to prayer and to develop that personal relationship with God, her spiritual Father.
