  1. Outandabout-

You stated so very well many of the things I felt so many years ago as a single female Corps grad. The loneliness...the unsurety...knowing that if you tried to explain what you were going through to anyone that they would just tell you that you weren't believing and trusting God.

    It was hell.

    Thanks for sharing your story.

  2. WTH--

Sounds like someone has been reading a bit of Robert Kyosaki!!!

    Wonderful books!

(I find the most difficult thing is to stop thinking like an employee. smile.gif:)--> )

Galen sounds like he has learned these lessons well. He knows how to use debt to his advantage. I was reading today about a man who purchased a rental home for each of his young children...when it is time for them to go to college, he will re-finance the houses in order to pay for their school. All with tax-free dollars. So he will have many advantages. The kids will have college paid for with no loans. The money he uses to pay for their education will not be taxable (But he will end up being able to get a credit on his taxes for the money he uses to pay their tuition). And the rental houses will still be giving him positive cash flow after the kids are out of school.

Good debt will end up putting money in your pocket. Bad debt will take it out.

  3. I don't remember how many verses there are, but here are the words to another verse:

Let your heart be fully persuaded

Full of love and ever elated

His Word has not changed, it's ever the same

He magnified His Word above all of His name.

  4. Sudo--I've heard "Christmas Shoes"....you're right...it's a tear jerker (this from the person who will cry at a hallmark commercial...LOL)

And my favorite Christmas music has to be the old stuff...Perry Como, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby....this stuff is great.

My favorite "modern" stuff?? Has to be Manheim Steamroller....love it...the percussion and the innovation is quite amazing. Got to go see their Christmas tour this year...wonderful birthday present from hubby....it was a wonderful concert. Their version of "White Christmas" brought tears to my eyes (I DID tell you that I cry at Hallmark commercials, right??... icon_smile.gif:)-->)

  5. Oh geeze...Oh geeze...

This just slaps you right in the face. I could almost hear VPW saying these words....

just change the word 'gift' to the word 'manifestation' and you have the definitions from the Advanced Class, practically word for word....

This has been one of the hardest things for me to reconcile. Since VPW had refered to so many others verbally, I was always aware that he did not get this on his own...I guess I was of the "compilation" sect...."put it together like no one had before..Yadda yadda yadda"

But this flies in the face of even that thinking.

Some of the best stuff I have read on this was Dot's brownie recipe analogy on another thread (don't remember which thread now..maybe some of you computer wizards can find it and link it...I don't know how)I found that very healing.

Okay...so now I want to read BG Leonard's stuff.

  6. I have not posted here on your thread, but I have been following it and have been praying for you. I am very thankful that you are seeing an end to this. And once again, I am amazed by the lengths God will go to help us when we diligently seek Him.

You don't know it, because I have not told you, but I have been inspired and healed by many of your postings....especially the one that separates the truths of the message as opposed to the evil of the messenger....(I liked the brownie recipe analogy) and it has helped me sort through many of the contradictions I have had in my head. You are a blessing.

    Still praying,

    Tinuviel

  7. I don't know for sure whether she is currently in or out. For some reason, I think, though, that she is still in.

I knew her briefly years ago (more years than I care to think of, LOL!)She was really a nice lady then.

    (oh...btw...it's spelled "Rawlins")

  8. Oh geeze....it never even occured to me that she might still be in!! That would explain why I found no phone numbers under either of their names in any state when I checked whitepages.com.

    Rats

  9. Thanks, Radar. I tried looking in Cortright, did a Google search, and checked whitepages.com, but found nothing under Kenny Binckley...I'll keep looking though. This is more info than I had before!
