  1. This was a hard question for me.

    First a little background.....

We have 2 girls 8 & 11 who were home 9/11 and were very aware as to what was happening that day.

I've spent a ton on time in NYC...my bestfriend lives there..so it felt very personal to me also.

I guess my biggest concern is that it will be swept under the rug for our children, not because adults want to hide it but because of the absolute horror of it. Being of the generation that are the grandchildren of WW2 I feel that that war had become nothing more than a *John Wayne Movie* to many of my peers, and I just don't want that to happen to my girls.

As I explained to them, they KNOW that crossing the street is a dangerous thing (at least I've told them often enough ) and I do not want them to be afraid of it...just careful..The same is true now of the reality of 9/11...do not be afraid just careful.

So...how to mark 9/11 this year and keep it in perspective?

We're going to go to a memorial service at our State Capital. For us it felt the best way to honor the day.

  2. My vet recommended we feed our little fuzzy troublemakers IAMS. They are healthy and full of themselves....and IAMS is made right here in Dayton which is an added plus....helping the local economy and all that.

Something I believe that can be just as important is immunizations....

Depending on where and how *Kitty* is going to live they can mean life and death.

And be sure to have them tested for Feline Luekemia....its a simple blood test. One I wish the shelter we adopted our first two kittens had performed...instead we ended up with sick kittens that had to be put down and a heartbroken family.

    Enjoy your new addition!

  3. I agree WasWay...it is sorta strange you don't hear from more of us here in Ohio.

And as for the Cortright page.... I believe there are WAY more folks around here NOT on there than are. But I'm sure that's true of every state.

  4. Radar...

I agree. The chat room can be a really great place just to hang out and well...chat

I sincerely hope that either this Yahoo Chat works out or Paw finds something even better.

    See you all there!

    PS to Bowtwi...

I had the same problem trying to figure out WHERE to type in this /join greasespotcafe

You type it in the dialog box of the first chat room you are sent to press SEND And POOF!! there you are.

    Hope that helps.

  5. I know I've asked before but I was hoping for an update from one of the newly free of TWI. The last I heard he was still at Hqts.

Oh how I hope that's still not true.....
