John was a friend, although we've been out of contact for 14 years or so... John had a full time job. he did a "twig" a "Branch" and an Area. and still worked his Job... John impressed me. with the balance of life he seemed to have.. One things for sure the people in the Sydney area loved him..and he loved them...... Jim

..yes I recommend the site.. It's fairly new. It was founded by Teddy Gentry, who is the base player for the country group Alabama.. He talks with various songwriters and the interviews are posted. Last interview was with Charlie Daniels.. so far it has focused on "country" song writers but I've noticed there is music available to down load (for a price) from many different artists.. I've always been intrigued by a great song. I found the site interesting and thought I'd pass it along..

I found out today Toni fell asleep back in May...

..this is sad to hear...I had he joy of getting to know Toni as a WOW in 1975...Her and 2 other girls lived to gether and were a big part of teaching many, many people about God and his Son Jesus Christ. I have many great memories of that year and others as we would revisit as the years passed.

It's days like these that I am so very thankful for having had access to so much learning about the things of God. Despite all the bad, having learned how to walk and talk with God and to hear His voice has been a wonderful blessing to my life.

...I feel that way too. although I'm not sure I've kept keen by reading His Word faithfully, but there isn't a day or maybe even a few hours that the Word doesn't help me in decesions I make...I don't focus on the "crap" much anymore. I haven't the time, desire or stamina it takes......Jim

James Burton was promoting the line 6 at his festival in Louisiana last year.. Jim
