  1. Here's a survey you can copy and paste into your reply with your own answers. Elaborate on your answers if you like. You can also come back and write a full explanation of your position for any particular item. (Heck, you can do whatever you like!)

    True...but where are they?

Requiring narrative answers (short or long):

When Jesus told Nicodemus that he "must be born again," what did he mean?

I am not sure exactly what he meant. From my perspective and understanding, being "born again" was made possible after the day of Pentecost. Did Jesus know about the out pouring of holy spirit and all it would mean when he was talking to Nic? I can't imagine that he only had an inkling that "something" would happen and then tell Nicodemus that he "must" if he, Jesus, didn't have a full grasp of he insisted on and all that would entail.

What are your thoughts on the Fourth commandment (not to work on the sabbath)?

I heard a series calling the Ten Commandments the "Tender" Commandments. The love and practicality of their directions for life being based on our best interests. God doesn't want His willful, wild and wacky kids to get hurt.

AnotherDan....you bless me. I spent lots of time with you in Little Rock and a bit in F14. You are quite the intellectual with heart and compassion. My hat is off to you.

  2. Which posters, specifically?

I know you to have had a problem accepting the truth of the extent of the damage VPW inflicted. Perhaps the magnitude of his error is shocking to you. That does not mean the poster manified what happened.

I believe in the early days, when VP was allowing them to function and attract people, they were. However, as I and others expressed before, VP allowed them to function in order to siphon off people into his organization, then he gradually usurped God's rightful place, and began to squelch people and pervert the truth. We have, and have deemed it putrid.

At that time, twi was a group of people with varied motivations that was governed by a man who was bent on changing and unifying people's alliegences to himself, slowly, and deliberately.

Your mileage may vary and you are welcome to your opinion-- just don't be shocked if yours is different from every one else's, and accuse them of exaggerating.

Was Vic really that smart? I wouldn't give him that much credit. Did he start out with the orchestration of his ministry all mapped out?? Or did it progress and the devil used him to steal, kill and destroy people. Absolute power corrupts absolutely or something like that. "I'm your puppet..."

  3. Thanks Doreen. I'm new here myself. Welcome.

This site can be quite interesting.

Sometimes it's sorta like a roller coaster ride.

It's fun but now and again your stomach wants to fly out of your nose.

    Thanks also LIKEANEAGLE

Glad I'm not alone in some of my sentiments.

    I appreciate your postings.

Hey exwaycorps...I hear all that you say. I think that some of the most wonderful people I ever met, had the privilege to know, still know, and now are filed under good memories, are from my years in the corps. The teachings from PFAL are part of me, integrated into who I am but not excluding me from new thoughts or contemplating ideas/viewpoints as having validity. What I am very thankful for now is not to have to aim the doctrinal shotgun. 'Cause I know now that I don't know it all, not even close.

    Love you
