  1. Do you really care if he replies...and why? What's the point? Many f&&k up...as many of us have...so...what would be the point? Anyone ever make a major mistake? His might be to a greater degree as you chose to put it on a scale of 1 to 10....but if you never made a mistake in your life that hurt someone, big or small...are you to call the kettle black?

I don't mind the component of our society that pushes for "payment" for wrongs that have been done. I wouldn't feel good about living in a place where people were let off the hook because: "other people make mistakes too, you know." Do you have no concept of justice? Or do you have no concept of what this guy did?

Your version of a justice system, sounds like it may be required to say: "Oh well... I guess raping those little boys wasn't THAT bad... We've all made mistakes... you're free to go! No apology required."

I understand that's taking what you've said to an extreme... but its a good way to test a thought, and yours fails.

Loy Craig Martindale ABUSED a position of power! It's like a police officer who uses his position to steal, or worse.... The punishments for this should be higher than it is for normal folks. You should rethink whatever WEAK, "WHO CARES" logic has caused you to think like that, or you may find yourself being taken advantage of again.

  2. Biker babe,

I wish your story seemed unusual. People with little control over thier prior or present life, loved coming into twi to gain power over something controllable... people. It made them feel important... which they were and are not.

ex10 - thanks for the great Houston pitch. Is the humidity bad? Atlanta wasn't a killer for heat, and that's why I liked it... I have also lived in Brisbane, Australia... where the heat was a killer because of the humidity. I figure I could handle a hot & dry summer, but I think that would be more San Antonio - with Houston being wetter.

We're thinking of crossing Portland/Seattle off our lists for the sweater reason. We got the impression yesterday that we wouldn't be swimming there ever.

As for leadership witnessing, I saw some of them do it with me... I'll give them credit where it's due, I actually think quite a few of the top leadership would work along side the workmen. And why shouldn't they? More indians makes for happier chiefs!

  3. If he were sorry he'd spew info necessary to shake the last of lemmings from the tree. What is the true purpose of twi Mr. lcm?

Now that's a fantastic point. He appearantly has nothing left to gain from people staying in... but the borg queen does.

What do you want to bet the borg queen still has something over him? I left & I was placed on "spiritual probation", where I was supposed to conduct a letter writing campaign to rev. a$$h@(e about what I thought of the sns tape or way mag. Early on, I figured the REAL point of this was to get me to keep funding the borg... but I now think it was a retainer of some measure of control over me as well.

What could the borg queen still have over the package handler?

btw - does anyone have a pic of loy handling a package... I'd pay damn good money for one with poster quality dpi.

  4. Thanks for all of the information on Portland dmiller... We were actually thinking Vancouver, WA where there's no income tax & you're right across the border from no sales tax!

We piced cities with over a million folks & a high growth rate + relatively low cost of living...

continuing advice on the following is appreciated:

    Richmond, VA;

    Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, NC;

    Atlanta, GA;

    Houston, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio, TX;

    Seattle or Vancouver, WA

  5. So there was this thread that rosie started with:

God bless you and make you abound in all things,

I love you. Let me say that again. I love you.

What are you doing here? This place is not good. And I don't think you need me to tell you that. What are you doing here?

There are better things for you to do than come to this place. Followers of Jesus Christ, be loving and tender, and walk in the ways of Jesus Christ. This place is not your home, and there are better things for you to do.

and then there was the expected responses....

and then there was rosie explanation (that you can find if you want to), and that explanation sounded to me like rosie may have thought that we're all over here ministering to each other, you know... trying to deal with our possessors.... and that rosie was actually speaking to the borg members that had wandered in here or something.

Which made me want to take odds on whether or not they really do think that we're all possessed.

And I figure I'd take odds at 10 to 1 right now that if asked.... a member of the borg would say that if you go to the GSC, and actually consider what's being said here that you'd be "opening yourself up... BIG TIME!" Anyone want to take further odds that it's essentially word for word?

  6. Atlanta ain't what it used to be. Since the olympics in what 94? The place has been hit by many northerners who ruined the simple south. Now, there are gang problems in the burbs and the corporations have moved or the .com's folded. The jobs - the extra jobs were swallowed up by the displaced Floridians and Katrina victums post 2 hurricane seasons. There is also a huge illegal population -- but being uncharted I cannot even give you a number.

    Check it out first

Thanks - we are planning a trip to do just that. My wife and I have narrowed down our possible destinations to only 12 at this point. 5 large cities in TX, two in NC, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, & Richmond, VA. We're actually planning to visit as many of them as we can prior to moving - we're seeking a more abundant life, without having to renew our minds so much.

  7. Whew - that's so spiritually heavy - god told you to say that?

I'm leaving - heart pierced by the truth... and I'm not going to stop until I see wayprod dancing in the gazebo.... oh wait... I came to my senses, god wouldn't have someone waste their time with that sort of fruitless bs  , so rosie...

my dear rosie.... your shiny new Epesians screenname isn't a real cool one :nono5: ... and like I told you before, and shouldn't have to f'ing tell you again! If you're going to post that sort of crap... go on over to MySpace, and dump it into one of the two twi groups there, where thy borg is situated. Their conversation just wreaks of legalism, and your post will apply well actually.

Oh, and while I've got you reading this - send me back my money b_tch!

  8. The "Law" of Believing as practiced by TWI was circular reasoning.

    Believing = Receiving

"But I believed and didn't receive!"

    "Then you didn't really believe!"

Sure most of us can point to bible verses that say (or seem to say) believing = receiving, and many of us can dredge from our memory situations where we "believed" for something and received it, but the "Law" put us at the center of the universe, everything that happened to us was caused by our thoughts, so of course we had to be "reproved" when the bad things happened because, after all, we had caused them to occur!

Think about the pressure that we were under: every single thing that affected outr lives was under our control :o

IT WAS ALL CIRCULAR LOGIC - A sealed system of it, like a bearing on an axel. The whole crock of crap was just an answer to it's own inevitable questions to the wrong answers that you'd been given to start with. Those questions were called an "unrenewed mind" by the way, in case you don't remember having them...

You went to twi for an abundant life, but inevitably, and invariably if no abundant life came unto you - it was your fault. There was no other answer possible - the default was set to "it's the believer's fault", and the default was NEVER changed. The fact that your life was still sucky in any way wasn't the "consequences" either, because the real "consequeces" were always left as a possibility that assuredly WOULD come if you left twi: posession!

But you wanted to stay... because: no one IN twi was ever possessed - unless it was convenient and they had already been, or were just about to be "cleaned out" - because possession was the fear specifically designed to keep you IN!

Which was fine with you. You wanted to stay in, because you just knew you were right on the verge of the abundant life... if you could JUST renew your freakin' mind to BELIEVE that eating balogne on white bread and not owning a car was abundance, while you were giving 23% of your income to twi.

In my opinion, what you believe shapes your mental map of reality. When I was in TWI, my mental map of reality was of downtown Oz but my feet were actually in Kansas. It makes a lot more sense to have the right map for where you want to go. Like Covey talks about in his 7 Habits book, using a map of downtown Manhattan will not help you at all in downtown Chicago. I agree with Covey when he says the closer our mental maps are to reality the more valuable they become.

What you believe IS important! If there's a law of believing, it would certainly have to be closer to the above... heck the law of believing itself may even be 100% dead on - but the point is - it was severely misused for the gain of our old evil taskmasters.

A hammer is not wrong on its own - but when taken from the box, and used to work on the windows - it can become very destructive.

  9. Attention future winner:

A reference in a totally different topic to rosie as the "borg queen" got me thinking that it would be fun if we could have a photoshop picture challenge.

For instance I'd like to see if anyone could redo this:

    http://sfc.strategyplanet.gamespy.com/imag...org_picture.gif

    or this:

    http://www.mala.bc.ca/~soules/medi402/walker/borg1.GIF

or perhaps one of these (but I think with a bit more searching you could find a better one to start with):

    http://www.prosieben.de/imperia/md/images/...p2_1024_768.jpg

    http://www.lostpedia.com/images/9/9c/3x13_...ke_ben_talk.jpg

    - no holds barred...

    Any ideas for the prize?

If some of us are good at this, maybe we could photoshop vpw into all of the places he said he'd been, doing all the sh-t he said he did, with all the snow he could have wished for.

  10. So, I'm thinking about moving.... yet again. I think I move habitually every few years or so partially because of going WOW & Way Disciple. And it got me thinking of how I just put where i lived in the hands of others so mindlessly - and I have to admit, I liked that!

The adventure of finding out where you were sent on your next "mission" (whether or not you choose to accept it). And I wonder if it was just a carry over from missionaries - or was there any more cynical reason that someone can think of for it? Was it more important for the "borg queen" (to use an awesome reference from another recent post) WHO you were with, than where you were sent within the growing colony? If it was just a simple carry over from the old missionaries, why did they do that?

BTW - I went to Atlanta once, and to This small midwestern city the other time. I hated the midwestern city for the most part, but I liked Atlanta, so much so that I'm presently considering moving back.

  11. Ostriches evolved from another bird millions of years ago. Their ancestors flew high in the sky, seeing the whole picture. One day, some of the birds decided that there was more to see underground. So they flew down and stuck their heads in holes. They couldn't find what they were looking for but thought they shouldn't give up, that would be a sign of weakness. They even stopped associating with the other birds that stayed in the sky. The birds that stuck their heads in the ground began to venerate those who could keep their heads underground the longest. These birds would be given "Double honor" and more mating rights. As generations passed the competition intensified. Those birds who couldn't keep their heads underground long enough (according the the standard) were given one warning, then thrown to the crocodiles. As time went on the ostriches developed adaptations which allowed them to seek where the prize couldn't be found. But they pressed for the mark, raising their offspring in the way that they should go. Today, these bird's descendants are the ostriches we know (gnosko) and love (agape).

    :eusa_clap: WELL PUT!

  12. Anytime anyone would discuss Wayprod I always felt so hypocritical... They ALL suck, not one of them would even stand a chance at even winning a spot on your average reality tv show... And the worst part of anything Wayprod was that dispicable

FORCED SMILE - chill out, breathe, look natural, anything but that f__king forced smile! Scary!

  13. I'm from the Amen crowd! I believe VPW knew he was starting a scam. He loved being the MOG. Rhoda told me so.

BTW, Welcome Watrix. I'm glad you could join us.

Hope you like a good cappucino. As the self-appointed head waitress, I have to make sure your first cup at the cafe is good!

    cappuccino.jpg

Thanks Notta... 'twas a fine cuppa. Could I just get a warm-up and another Biscotti when you get a sec. :offtopic:

HERE'S ANOTHER ONE: Do you think they (VPW & Pals in this case) were actually very consciously trying to create an environment of fear by focusing so heavily on possession? I mean that crap was woven in pretty heavily long before I started hearing that I would turn into the wonderful greasespot that I am now right? DTA was very pre-lcm...

And just to be certain that we never felt like we could catch a break.... do you remember when we got a news flash from the research lab in basement 3 deep below the BRC....

Attention Believers: This just in: YOU CAN'T DEFEAT THE ADVERSARY IN YOUR LIFE... WE WERE WRONG ABOUT THAT... FROM HERE ON OUT, YOU'LL SIMPLY HAVE TO DEAL WITH HIM!

I actually confessed to my branch co-ordinator once that I figured that if I left twi, I would endup in prison, and a homosexual... I am proud to say, that I am married with two kids, and no.... we didn't have to adopt! :redface2:

Come on WHAT ELSE was serving a dual purpose?

We all finally know what that damned RV was all about! :knuddel:

Anybody got any other REAL reasons?

  14. If you see where I'm going with this already then feel free to join in.

I believe that the top twi leaders knew they were running a sham cult. Among other evidence of this, look at how quickly man of them jumped ship rather than trying to mend the sinking vessel.

As for all of the customs & the shear organization of twi... it all served a more subvertive, and less congenial purpose in the paper mache that was my earlier life.

Growing up with all of this nonsense from the get go, I never really got a chance to question some of it. Looking back at it, the basic system of logic that was presented to me, was pretty airtight. That is to say, that until you were willing to break one of the rules - you almost HAD to believe what twi was telling you.

ps. I'm not so jaded to think that many people were'nt involved simply to help bring what they believed to others... however, I'm not niave enough to believe that the top leaders didn't understand the scam that they were running.

Let's start off with: Why have a Way Corps - I mean, you could have just had regular volunteers, right? Was the cost of indoctrinating all of those folks really justified by the return?

  15. people close to him are starting to say he's beginning to see what he did was wrong. Is anyone ready to forgive him? (We all followed the doctrine at some point)

Who's close to him? Am I to understand that you think he has... friends?! As for forgiving him, I'd rather see him drawn & quartered beside that damned gazebo they loved so much. But seriously, after I had been out of twi long enough to begin thinking normally... I called anyone who I had brought in, and apologized. I also apologized to just about everyone who I could think of, who I had wronged because of the doctrine & cult-ish practices. They were receptive, and I felt a lot better. As bad as he was - an honest apology - deserves honest forgiveness (perhaps followed by drawing & quartering, in this case?).

Craig never has put himself in a situation to get confronted if he could help it. He surely won't come here because he is a BIG COWARD. If he thinks he did no wrong, why would he come here? He knows he would get an arse beating. I have a friend who spoke to him at his efficiency apartment a few years ago, and HE TOLD HER HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!! That is the twisted mind of a very sick individual. Being here is the last thing he needs IMHO. He needs professional help.

If this is true, it is one answer, but I think the following, is a lot more to the point:

At one point he was surrounded by arse kissing flunkies, who pampered him and hung on every word that came out of his pie hole...people jumped when he entered a room...he commanded with an iron fist. People looked to him for spiritual guidence...

Wonder what his typical day is like NOW?...

Having a clerks job for a freight company might have knocked him down a few pegs?...I can hear it now:

"Hey Craig, ya got that invoice?...you need to get that truck loaded or the boss is really gonna jump in your sh *t..." :biglaugh:

...and I doubt that anyone sits around after eating their lunch to listen to his pontifications.

He'll never come here to apologize, because regardless of what he's telling himself... deep down, he's got to know that he's a meaningless NOBODY! We're all REALLY talking about the man who WAS holding the position! Now that he's stripped of that position, and now that you're free from the brainwashing, is "Loy the package handler" really someone who matters?

I doubt there's a soul on this site, who would be timid about walking up to him to give him a piece of their mind.

Now that I think of it, he probably does come here a lot. It's perhaps the only place in the world where he actually still means anything... a few hundred of us who actually care who he was. Otherwise, its back to loading the packages into the trucks.

  16. She's married, and as of a few years ago lived near New Knoxville? Used to work on staff - husband did too, they may still.

Does anyone know her & how she's doing? Thanks in advance.

Correction: I think she spells it Michell.
