If you Private Message the poster Don't Worry Be Happy, he may be able to give you a lot of background.  Then, you can share what you feel is appropriate on these pages.

Who knew human reproduction could be so complicated?:biglaugh:

She did say I was a birth control baby, that must have been why I was so special!!!

She asked me where I got the letter from though, I took my baby book from her a while ago.  Just opened it recently and found that.  Also had a pic of a boy too, B3n Schw@rtz? Ann3 & St3ve's son?? This was in Garden City, NY, 66 M3adow St.

I was told a number of times that my birth was miraculous.  Thanks to The Law of Believing.

However, through diligent research, careful, rational thought, quiet observation and a hard look at the facts, I've learned something that I hope is one day backed by peer-reviewed literature:

Human Beings are born every f'ing day.

Astonishing revelation! Thank you for that!!!! Who knew??!!! <3

Probably a good idea at this stage. And yes, many of us know of your uncle. It sounds like you have quite a story to tell.

Btw, the weird name thing kinda keeps google from cataloging posts about specific individuals.

I figured the weird name thing work protect me from others seeing my posts.  I have quite the story to tell it seems.  Who knew?? I searched for information back in '03ish when I reconnected with my Dad and the cult came back up in conversation.  I said it as a joke, not knowing that I was right on point.  He fought me on it always, I found out why recently when I started searching again.

Nicoblu72 thank you for sharing this.

I think this experience modeled VPW's who forced himself into some rote SIT fake because it could not happen naturally for him on stage at an Oral Roberts evangelism event where everyone else could manifest freely.  Because of this he modeled his class after his experience.

This is my read on the Elena Whiteside account of JE Stiles and VP.

As a side reference I myself first SIT freely under the teaching of the same Oral Roberts via a secondhand account when I was young.  This is why it sticks out to me.

SIT was something I felt right away.  I would not do it and did not focus on anyone doing it in fellowship.  It was highly demonic to me at 13 years old, when my mom took us back in.  My youngest brother was FORCED to SIT, and to this day I remind him, he is the only one out of us 4 that did it!!! Every single time I heard my mom SIT, I knew it was wrong.

    Hey UnTwist It,

Welcome.  I'm a long time poster here, don't know if I know your families personally, but I probably know of them.

I hope delving into the depths of the stories here helps you find some form of comfort and answers.

This place has value to many in making sense of life surrounding the Way.

    Regards,

    chockfull

Thanks alot, It has been a rollercoaster trying to get answers on my own.  My mom tried to silence me again recently, but it backfired on her.  My mom is a C3cchin, My dad is a F@ir, and my stepfather is I@nno.  I'm sure you have heard of my uncle Joe.

I never was sent anything when my son was born. Seems someone with some clout liked ya! Its hard to say though, i can only speak for my situation though.

Thanks for responding!! I always knew i was "special" ;) It is ink signed by Jeffrey Tyler, and I guess I was in Territory 1, whatever that meant.  It was a very creepy discovery for me.

  8. Did everyone that had children while in The Way get a letter sent to them welcoming the new baby?? Or was I special?? My mom is batdang crazy, and my dad is ignorant to his following to this day.

    Thank you!!

    TY WordWolf! Appreciate the info.

I have never even seen Dotsie's book. I'd like to read it sometime to see what her recounting is. Any idea where I can find it to read?

I read Whiteside's book only once. We used to go from Queens to her apt in Manhattan to hang out in the City. I never read the book more than once because Elena "held court" regularly at her place and would tell us the stories orally and many Wierwille-worshipping traditions began based on her experience in OH writing the book. The book she wrote, The Way Living In Love, was "old news" by the time it came out. We city folk never really went for her book. We were driving back and forth to new Knoxville often back in 1971 and 1972. Pressed Down moved to OH. I flew out to record on their first album. We went to summer school and the ROA in 1971. We met and hung with the 1st and 2nd corpses and lived at HQ for the summer school in the unfinished executive office building, the barn and the upper room, along with trailer six and seven, the single corpse women and men's trailers respectively. The entire atmosphere was very casual. Dic and the bigshots were readily available all the time. It was like a big happy family, lots of sports and lots of meetings/teachings in the BRC, a bunch of pizza and beer and burger nights, dances, live music. Totally different than even 7 short years later, and not in a good way. Most of the PFAL series was not even in written form yet. Word of mouth and the grapevine were the main communications from HQ. The books and all the "advanced studies classes" all started pouring out from NK in the first half of the 1970s. You are probably one of the few who has read and catalogued them and posted here at GSC much solid info gleaned from all the books. Thanks for all your work and input through these years of WayDale and the GSC.

Heyyyy, I'd love to talk to you.  Sounds like you knew or know my family!!!

Wasn't Pressed Down considered "pozzest" and their music banned?  It was great music too.  I recall we didn't understand what had happened and few destroyed (as instructed) their copies of cassettes.  In fact, bootleg copies were made, of which I have or had one .

I'd love to know more about this.  Pressed down is my uncle. Hmmmmm

  11. My parents were involved in the swinging I assume. My dad was away at training when my mom cheated on him with my future stepfather. My dad signed me over for adoption in '84. At that time, he had no contact with me. I found out recently that he was kicked out in '85. I had an attempted kidnapping within that time frame. I remember it like it was yesterday and so does my friend.

  12. Hi all,

I am looking to get answers regarding my upbringing and clearly can not get that from my family. I have many unanswered questions and get different answers from all 3 of my families. I guess I was born into The Way, I have a letter sent to my parents from The Way a week after my birth.  It's a long story but boils down to me knowing now where I come from but needing to know if there is anyone out there that knew my families. I have 3 families that were involved. My mom, my birth father, and my step father. My uncle is part of The Way Productions. He's prob well known. I am from Long Island, NY, but was def brought to the Rock of Ages. I have had a life of conflict due to my questions. Here I am. I need the support of people like me. I never conformed and was always outcast. I have a lot of memories of things that were done and said to me that I cannot accept.  Edited to add: I am an '80 baby.
