  3. WordWolf,

Anyway I did threaten to have a private conversation in public or in PMs if you and your ilk didn’t behave, and you didn’t, so I HAD my private conversation with her in public, inviting in a few guests at times.

Mike: What are you talking about?????

    Brief answer, please.

A lot of what I write is really for lurker consumption, even WayGB.

What does this mean????? Do NOT waste time and space at GreaseSpot unless you intend to have a conversation with the people HERE. This is not your personal soapbox.

  4. It was standing room only.

We started around midnight and it just kept picking up steam as the night rolled on and the dawn rolled in. We told them they had to be out by 6:45 so the kitchen crew could clean up before breakfast.

    Sorry you missed it.

Maybe next year we'll do it again.

  5. The separate gmail account is because if there is a problem with posting or logging in, people can still contact us outside of GreaseSpot. If someone cant' log in or post, they can't send a private message either.

The ways to contact GreaseSpot moderators is by private message, email greasespot@gmail.com, start a thread, or report a post.

  6. Under the message box you have two options,

Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder

    Track this message?

If you select the first one, a copy of your message will be in your Sent folder.

The second choice tracks the message so you will know when it was read.

  7. if some will detail How I can copy a pm to this thread I will show you what he wrote.

again why didnt you write in the forum MIke? why the secret insult and message?

If it is a private message then keep it private. You do not have to read or respond to PMs. You can ignore people who irritate you. The ignore feature makes their posts invisible. If you do not want to receive PM messages from someone, there is a feature to block those incoming messages.

Private messages are private and have no business being posted on the board.

    1. If the moderators start moderating for good taste we will never get caught up.

    2. If you don't like the post, start a debate over why if it is important to you.

    3. If the moderators remove every post and every poster that someone else doesn't like, the board will be empty in the time it takes to hit the delete button.

  9. Jim, I did some experimenting with changing font sizes, and it ended up messing up the alignment of the whole board. We might just have to live with things the way they are. Later I'll try to adjust the colors a little. Maybe a sharper contrast will help with making the text readable.

  10. RB,

Good question. Yes and no is the answer. It kinda sucks.

Yes, with tweaks, I can get games to span across dual monitors. That's cool

But...think about it. Picture dual monitors side by side. What dominates the very center of your vision... the plastic edge of both monitors. I have about 3" of plastic edge on my two 21" Sony's. It is distracting and the weapon crosshairs are right in the center usually, so croshairs are right by the edge.

Therefore, I play games on one monitor.

The solution? Triple monitors or odd number of monitors. Matrox is the first one to come out with one card that supports triple monitors. Nice! That is what I wish I had done but it didn't exist when I purchased. I have a picture of a guy who has 5 monitors. Also cool.

But let me say that dual monitors are otherwise fantastic. Especially when you have a TV card.

  11. oh well

Oh, so now we're playing "simon sez"?

Rocks can start as many threads as he wants!

As far as Buck, he must be nigh unto insanity by now, what with all these threads that Rocks has started.

I don't know... it must be ______'s fault, I hit the reply button

    -------------------------------------------------

Now I know why blaming and denial are so epidemic in our society. Even when one wants to be honest with himself, it sounds dorky.

Simon, it must be a conspiracy.!

Yes, but only for a few months in 79, from May until the rocka, when I went out WOW.

Then I came back in 84 after the advanced piffle class, and I've been here ever since. Left TWIt in 89 or so.
