  1. Jeannette said, "If we were in the WAY to watch its leaders and judge the actions of other 'sinners' and make THEM take the fall for your Decision making processes, then we are FOOLISH., and HAVE NOT LEARNED to Live God's Love. God is LOVE, Unconditional Love."

Jeannette, we do have the right, in America, to publish the fact that the person we lined ourselves up with and gave our very lives for his ministry, deceived us. And, yes, what he taught and how he taught the scriptures DID influence greatly how we made decisions--mostly according to how he said we should serve God is how we tried to serve God.

I do see this as liberating to speak about it with others who have been through the same thing, not as a negative experience.

While there is no hate for the people who taught me wrongly, there is regret for my choosing, once again, to align myself with them. But to say it never happened is to be untruthful to myself and others.

  2. So not condemning people if they do have an abortion is not the same as a responsibility to correct wrong doctrine such as this if your ministry is truly Christian (is that what you were saying Lifted Up?)

To put it more clearly, I beleive the offshoots have a responsibility to teach that vp taught it his way and did not teach it the Biblical way. If your offshoot doesn't do this, I would suggest thinking about why they are covering up for him in this area.

  3. From OM: VPW had nothing to do with those decisions.

He didn't teach gullible, young, trusting, people who bellieved he spoke for God with all of their inexperienced, inmature hearts that the fetus wasn't a human being until it drew its first breath and abortion was simply a CHOICE?????

MY mistake was believing he spoke for God and not checking the scriptures more thoroughly for myself such as when John the Baptist leaped in Elizabeth's womb and many other verses that say the baby is a person.

Accept responsibility for being deceived and doing something I aways up to that point believed was wrong? Yes, more than you or anyone else will ever know...which brings me back to why I post...not for myself, but for someone else who may be tempted to believe the same lie who still has time to see the web of deceit and escape.

Also, I think I see clearly now from your post what CES's beliefs are on this subject...a "godly proposition." Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  4. OM, why the anger?

Oh, well, it was JUST a CHILD who never got to be born because of the doctrine of devils teachings by vp.

naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. no use to get upset just because women believed that and did something they didn't believe in but was coerced into because it wasn't a human until it drew its first breath anyway. afterall, that's the WORD (not)

  5. Zshot said, " IMO, abortion should not be promoted and those who have an abortion should not be condemed or ridiculed."

You're right about abortion not being sold as a Biblical solution to an unwanted pregnancy under the guise of "it's not a human being until it takes its first breath." This is a teaching that doesn't hold water and it surprises me that the offshoots just pretend this subject doesn't exist instead of just saying that ole vp was wrong again.

No, I don't think ANYONE should influence a couple to make that decision and certainly not to condemn if they do.

  6. Mike said, "If I had to choose between my sisters (or future daughter) suffering from a few unwanted advances or getting caught up in phony sex-purity religion, I’d choose the former as less damaging. I’ve seen more damage from Puritanism than from licentiousness."

You have? Mike, what is a sex-purity religion and how is that wrong?

  7. Dartanian3m said to Rascal:

    quote:
Jesus Christ never rolled in the quicksand with those who were struggling to get out ...he rather extended his hand (not grabbing hands) for those who desired deliverance..those who believed in him saw their opportunity to escape and took his hand

Please help me get this straight. If this is not what you meant, please correct me but this is what I heard you say:

*JAL represents Jesus Christ, the healthy one

    *We are in the quicksand

*If we want to get out, we need to look to JAL for deliverance

That's what it sounded like you were saying. Are you SERIOUS???

John, I agree with Satori that you do exhibit an elitist attitude, but I do not believe that is THE REAL YOU. So, I forgive you for acting that way towards me and as Jesus said, "Go and sin no more" or in my venacular, if you wanted to, you could always seek the Lord's face on this and ask him to help you CHANGE!

  9. Right, Rascal.

I think when people see what vp's practical doctrine **REALLY** was, (i.e. how he lived his life), then they will be more able to see that his spiritual doctrine might not be so perfect, either.

There is verse after verse about the baby in the womb. I'm not sure how we were too blinded to have missed those. Oh, yes, I do. It was because we trusted him and what he taught because we believed he was the Man of God and spoke for God. Remember?
