  1. Linda,

I know exactly what you mean! My dog is cute in an ugly kind of way. -- Ahh -- but she'll win you over in a heartbeat as she gently paws at you to pet her.

She knows how to: crawl on the floor, shake, beg, lay dow, roll over, sit, play dead, turn around. We're working on "moonwalk" - she knows how to do it; just not on command.

Us die hard dog lovers know beauty is only skin deep. If you saw Jazz you'd say what kind of ugly a$$ dog is that? If you met her, she'd have you won over in less than 10 seconds - guaranteed!

Good luck with the new dog! My other dog is a terrorist - that's why she doesn't get much press.

    Chris

  2. Linda,

    Beautiful dog! Perfect size too!

Kind of reminds me of my Catahoula ("Jazz"). She was the runt of the litter (about 30# full grown) with a frumpled ear.

She's the sweetest dog you'd ever want to meet. She smiles ear to ear at guests, and when you come home from work.

Dogs are incredible critters! Cats are just dumb!

  3. Alfacat,

Thanks for the greetings! While I was never in the state of Utah; it's possible/probable someone with (almost) my namesake was. I'm a 42 year old, 14th Corps male grad. (Christopher Jansen)

Chris (Christine) Jensen (female - my age) has been through everything I've been through.

    In reverse order:

We were both together in the 14th Corps

    How confusing is that?

" Will Chris J*nsen please go to the ...)"

    We both went by "Chris"

I believe we were both WOW in '79 & '82. (I Was in Greenville,Sc ; and Minneapolis (Dinkytown), Mn - those years.

We were at the same Advanced Class ... go figure!

I first met her in Atlanta, Christmas '79 at the 40th anniversary Celebration - it was uncanny!

I often wonder how & where my fellow Corps brothers & sisters are.

She was a sweetheart - I wonder whatever became of her.

    Alfacat, perhaps you knew her!

  4. Thanks ****

I'm 6 candles behind you and holding! 1/6/62.

I'm trying to hold off the extra candles by quitting smoking after 30 years and taking up running (inline skating, jump rope and martial arts) again.

Ok, maybe I can't hold off the upcoming candles, but perhaps I can add a few extra candles on the far end.

Chuck, Thanks, and very happy shared birthday with you!

    Chris
