It reminds me of a great line from (if I remember right) Job. "He hangeth the Earth on nothing"
I say that that's a great line because most cultures during Bible times believed that the Earth was held up by something. Remember the statue of Atlas holding up the Earth? In one way or another that was what most people thought - that the Earth was supported by some other physical object.

Isaiah talked about the "circle" of the Earth.
The Bible told the truth.
