The "Road to Hana" is a long drive down the coast of Maui - east coast? Along the way there are many different waterfalls. We took off one day when the weather looked good using a map and a CD from "Snorkel Bob's" that talks the driver through the various stops along the way and what to look for. (plus some pretty funny commentary by "Bob" and his sidekick) This was one of the first locations we found, a short hike off the main road. Right along behind us were newlyweds, just married and honeymooning in Maui. They took our picture and we returned the gesture.
Due to recent rains the waterfalls were active but most of the pools were a bit muddy, like this one. It was a beautiful spot, quiet and on the day we drove very few cars on the road. This was our second visit, the first being our 25th anniversary, with our kids. This visit it was just us.
