  5. Thank You Kit Sober!!

Indeed there is a Torpedo Alley...it extends all the way to our American shore line. Some of those torpedoes are still ACTIVE. The Germans put wire "whiskers" sticking out of the nose of the torpedoes so they would explode with just a near miss, an "impact" wasn't necessary to detonate all the torpedoes. Just off the coast of New Jersy 1965 my Uncle Edward Doody, Captain of his ship The Snoopy, dragged something up into his Scallop Net. His crew of 20 some men were fishing out of New Bedford...my brother was supposed to be on that fishing trip with them, but for "some reason" didn't make it to the dock in time. He was instead on another ship and watched as the Snoopy blew up minutes after the Coast Gaurd said to "Keep it away from the boat."...it was hanging in the scallop nets and banging against the Snoopy. Only four survived. My Mother is a WWII Survivor...she had to leave her country when the Russians broke through the eastern part of her city of Breslau.(now Wroclaw Poland) She felt awful about what happened to my Uncle Ed Doody...thought the rest of the family might hate her for "being German". Of course they didn't!! But who would have ever thought that 20 years after the war it would still claim lives like that.

My brother went to Vietnam shortly after that, was wounded in No. Vietnam...finished his 365 days. Then my other brother went to Vietnam, stepped on a mine after 27 days "in country"...finished his 365 days!! THEN my Dad went to Vietnam...was shot down 4 times, wounded twice..was sent home after 10 months. But all three came home alive!! Praise God!!

There is something so incredibly important in honoring those who gave their lives for our freedom. There is nothing so heart breaking as "survivor guilt". I've seen what it does to people on a very personal level. These memorials not only HONOR, they help HEAL other wounds that wars inflict. Thank You to anyone who ever served our Country. Thank You Imbus!!! : ) How'd you know O.D. Green was my favorite color? LOL!!

  6. You know you were in a cult when you start to empathise with people who were once your "enemies"...like Jehovah Witnesses and Moonies!!!

when you still "believe" for better gas mileage on road trips!!

when you have more "nametags" and "pins" than you have jewelry!! and all your jewelry has Holy Spirit Doves on it!!

When you laugh with other people about all these things...and you Love them more than people you actually know : )

  7. I left twi a few years before that day. I was a "flipped out" believer...I didn't have "enough believing" to be healed from cancer after my Co-Ordinator prayed for me. And I quote her, "Everyone I pray for Gets Healed."

So I left, and went through a very difficult time with the Help and Love of some tremendous "Unbeliever's" : )

A couple/few years later I came across a picture of all The Men of God...my old wow prayer list fot twi...out of a strange old fondness for that practice of speaking in tongues everyday for that framed piece of paper, I began to speak in tongues for Dr's 'picture'. But a voice said, "you don't have to do that for him anymore." It shocked me. But I knew it was true. I no longer "belonged" to the ministry in any way at all. And the thought that he was "dead" was part of that. I found out that he was actually 'gone' in 1987 when a believer came into the store where I worked. I did cry, and I remembered that voice telling me I didn't have to pray anymore. He had a tremendous ability to get people to Love and Trust God's Word!! To believe that it is God's Word!! I am thankful. Very, very thankful. But he was a man...and the very Bible he taught us says, "Let God be found true though every human being is false and a liar." I did make the mistake of thinking there were "exceptions" : ) Every human being must mean Every Human Being. We all take our turns at being the "mixed bag" that we are.

But there are moments...great shining moments when the Love of God really is shed abroad in our hearts : ) I thank God we keep Finding HIM True!!!

  8. Thanks Onion : )

It's okay...I understand, when the tide is in, it's mighty tough diggin clams!! LOL

Wicked decent of you to wish me a happy belated Dear. Hey I really hope we can do something on that Island this year!! They don't have Clam Cakes up there by Bahr Harbahr...I'll just have to eat a Crab Cake instead ; )

Steamed Lobstah and really Peeved clams!!

  10. Tom You are Forgiven : )

it is SO easy to misunderstand eachother in here. Over 90% of communication IS "non verbal"...so not being able to SEE eachother...not being able to HEAR eachother's tone of voice...Forgiveness is even MORE important. Being Kind and Tenderhearted : )

This is a wonderful place to keep in touch with other wonderful Believers. A neat place to connect...reconnect : ) I take it all with a grain of salt : )

    No Worries : )
