  1. IS SHE STILL IN INDIANAPOLIS? STILL "IN"???
  2. LAST I HEARD THEY WERE SOMEWHERE IN INDIANA. ARE THEY STILL THERE?
  3. ANYONE? HE WENT WAY DISCIPLE IN 1999. I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING SINCE.
  4. I KNOW HER BROTHER PASSED AWAY AWHILE AGO, BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE SHE MIGHT BE? LAST I HEARD SHE WAS IN OHIO, AND STILL "IN".
  5. I was told early on when I left, not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I did anyway. I threw it all out the door. I took every Bible, every book, every article, and every single "study guide" and put it in a box and as far back in my attic I could. Recently, however, I was cleaning out my attic for a garage sale. I came across all of this stuff. Seeing all this, got me to thinking. How is it I feel now? How could I possibly make it by getting rid of all this I've always "known"? Well, I learned what I believe. I've learned that God is a very personal thing. The God I believe in understands when I will not discuss religion, when I do things that some think I should not. I live with high morals, and hold myself to higher standards than I ever have, but now there is NO guilt if I fall short. None! I find there is a little bit of truth in everything, but not whole truth in just one thing. That is fine with me. I just keep on living my life. I love my family, I love my career, and I love my friends. So, knowing some of the posters here, what exactly is sooo wrong with throwing the baby out with the bathwater, when I've ended up healthier by doing so??
  6. Lindy, I knew Joel. While I believe I'm your brother's age, and maybe on his WOW team (as the other FC) I have had very similar experiences as you. It is funny that they teach you how to be an abuser, but they also teach you how to take abuse. They teach you how to confront people, but they also teach you how to fool them by what you say. Anger is good for you, I felt the exact same way for awhile, just "hearing" you brings a lot of it back. With time, I believe, the everyday intensity of it lessens, but you'll never forget. It hurts too much when the only people you truly loved turn their collective backs on you all at once. It hurts when you've lost the idealism of your beliefs on top of that, but with time, you figure out life is better. You are now capable of taking your life to the next level. You now get to figure out for yourself just who you are and what you believe, or don't believe. You'll find that, with time, you are a better person than you thought you were, a better example to the world, and a productive part of society in general. As long as you take responsibility for your actions, and work hard you will see you have a much better life than you did. Many of the basic principles you were taught in the JC come in extemely handy in the "real" world. Life a few years physically removed and light years mentally removed is much more peaceful, satisfying, and fulfilling now. You may know my sister, M. Elaine Rhodes George. All my best to you and yours. P.S. feel free to email me. tide33@msn.com
