I am not sure I am ready to call God all consciousness...or maybe I am missing his point.

I finally finished he MP3 of night 1. It was good...metathinking....thinking about what you think about.
I think I had to start doing that as a prerequisite to leaving the way and then started thinking about the other thoughts running through my head
so far so good...as long as it doesn't turn into a "your good if you.... " or "your not good if you...."

naw hammy -- I gotta life away from here --don't get to every post these days...miss a lot I know...
I think this attempt SOWERS - is pathetic quite honestly.
-
I guess it is just me - but I thought it was spoof on our previous nightmare - No?
I find it so hard to believe anyone would ever do it again....at least while we are all alive to talk about it....
Has anyone contacted this person?

not to get off the subject of ET, but there is a great book called Jesus and Buddha. One side has Buddha's sayngs (who lived what? 400 yrs before christ) and the other side has the same ideas, but expressed by Jesus.
This evidence lends itself to the idea that there are truly some universal concepts that people pay attention to all over the planet.
BUT, ;like the Ching teaching regarding Yin and Yang, I also blieve for all these universal concepts honored by both Buddha andd Jesus and followers, there are equally opposing concepts that throw down those concepts and there will always be followers o selfishness ...maybe I have a bleak outlook, but it doesn't mean I dont personally folow the more compassionate way. I guess I jut don't think all the trees will get along even if the leaves of one tree do a spectacular job at it....

My Dad used to make me watch the guy in the 60' and 70's now and then. He went to Yale with him and being the rebel that my dad was - he loved that Buckley attacked the school with his God Man & Yale book...
I think libertarians owe him a great deal.

When I read the power of now, I felt like if I didn't get it, or I didn't agree "it" was supposed to fall apart or be less than something or be somehow not the rightest life -- I am always leary about that.
I am all for understanding ourselves and the universe, but not at the expense of ourselves or the universe...meaning I am not going into denial to try to elevate something not ready to be elevated or shouldnt be elevated in my conscious mind -- I am probably not clear, but without having read it...the new earth...which I will probably try to read eventually, I cant really say what I think...but I still have learniness.
While I also think Oprah has done a world of good...I still think she has lost certain connections to real people and never had some connections to reality as exhibited by her responses to people recently. She is still naive. I dont argue that what we think affects everything, and I do think the "law of attraction" has some merit, but all this metaphysical stuff still doesnt help the little boy with cancer or the girl who's eye got shot out by the mom's gang banger boyfriend by accident.. all of whom I have in my class. (she did just get a very nice galss eye---but it does roll around once in a while)

I am very leery of formula living.

I think the reason this stuff gets talked about has more to do with the quote: "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." (I think that was Teddy Roosevelt. And VP et al does not deem repeating.

you know after all of these posts that explain why not choosing to Forgive or engage even in the concept of forgiveness - posters still feel that those who chose not to be the same as the "forgivers" are somehow less spiritual or hard or worthy of slander, I find it as stepford as ever that everyone is supposed to conform to some "forgivers'" idea of righteous behavior.
Regarding slander - An old Chinese proverb, shortened - " The rock will remain when the water recedes."

UYUP -- I sent those links to the my Mom the HR Block Lady...wanted to see what they told them.

I heard about this on some news show and I think its absolutely wonderful.

yeah - interestingly -- hubby got a ticket this week....after 15 years of now ticket-- a camera one at that...when he got home -- we just all laughed.
Another interesting thing is this week, I have had to talk witht he principal of my daughter's school. Abby knows my tenacity---at any rate...there is a Special Ed teacher supposed to be teaching reading) who on more than one occaision I have had to remind that telling my child "Hurry Up" will not make her hurry up. That and many other things were the topics of our phone call. This woman has no children. But, I think of the parents on the recording you linked....
Over and over we say things and yet these things we say don't work....
Maybe parent talk ---Or even Drill sargents, helicopters and sargents applies to adults in more than just parenting circumstances.
By the way -- I think this topic can be intimidating for some and boring for others...consequently only us clinical types will entertain this stuff.

Whats really great to me is a lot of us could not (really did not have the mental cognitive ability) to sort this out the way we can now. I am impressed by how well most I "hear/read" here have reasoned and carefully thought about all this...Plato and Aristotle would be proud.

sorry wrong thread

Maybe I am looking at it differently. I don't think forgiveness has to be an option I entertain. I am a Christian...but I still don't think I either have to or procalim I have not forgiven anyone or anything. I believe its really God's job. I do know how to move on, even without baggage.
I still believe the organization is culpable; I believe I have the right to judge the concepts of acceptable or unacceptable...but I don't think I have to forgive, but I also don't think in the long run its my efforts to forgive that will help them.
I am not sure that you have to go to this place of forgiveness to be healed and move on. I KNOW I pity them. I feel sad for them. I don't feel a victim anymore - I did at first...but my strength does not come from forgiving them...(am I God to know all the hearts of these men and women anyhow) no. So I just move on and make wiser choices in the future.

yes I know what you mean -- and no I ain't joining that kids group either.....maybe its the idea that human nature is too turn it into a "new thing" -- call it what they will....it becomes less meta and more followa...
I am enjoying what I had so far...confirms somethings I already thought...don't completely agree with seperating from the voice all the time --- we do have fight and flight for a reason...but then voice can get in the way of fight or flight becasue we listen to voice when we should be in tune to fight or flight.
