  1. Good news! And actually you will feel better, once apon a time I was a cardiac nurse. And once the surgery part is healed up, most of the folks with a new pacemaker had a lot more energy. love, tcat

  2. I want a pony. And books. And a GI joe cause they have cool guns. icon_cool.gif

And hey Shell...I don't think a steel bat will fly very well. I've seen lots of bats here in Austin....but not one of them was made of steel! Oh wait I get it...it's Super Bat!!!!! hee hee hee

  3. Oh yeah! I love naps and do them on a regular basis. They can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Depending on when the dogs wake me up to go outside and bark.

  4. I have to say I am miffed about the"death sentence". In California they never get around to carrying it out. And every day that freak breaths is another day that Laci and Conner never get the chance to.

And what kind of monster kills his own baby? his own flesh and blood? I just don't get it.

Maybe I just think like a Texan. A death sentence here mean just that. icon_mad.gif

  5. Hey there Cindy! God and Prayer was the way we got our kidlet. I was told way back many moons ago while in my early 20's, that there would be no babies for me due to faulty pumbing.

We tried many times anyway and ended up with many miscarrages. One night we pray first, and ended up with a 10 pound baby girl. it was a pregnancy from hell. Bed rest for the last 4 months, ending in a c-section.

But it was totally worth every moment. The kidlet turns 14 in about a week. She is the sweetest person I know. Just an all around good kid......gush gush. I just love that girl.

So keep on practicing icon_wink.gif;)--> and we'll keep on praying. love tcat

  6. This thread reminds me a lot of reasons why we decided to home school. Our kidlet besides having a hearing problem has her own strange way of thinking.

She would have been very frustrated in public school. And schooling her at home lets her figure out stuff in her own way, and at her own rate.

Home schooling is not for every body. And I think teachers in public school have a terribly hard job. They are under paid and have to teach way too many kids at one time. Besides being people with regular people problems.

Here in Texas they have to "teach to the test" Because they are pressured to have X amount of kids pass it. It seems to put more pressure on both teacher and kids. sheesh.

Also from the research I did when deciding to home school. Boy are not ready to settle down and learn until about 8 years old. They are just naturally more active than girls. Makes me wonder how many kids are on medication, when they are just doing what comes naturally to them.
